Magic Ocean of Water Destruction!

(Me using a Water Magic Team for the 1st time lol)

  • I just did a post about anti-magic team so it felt right to do one about a succesful magic team, especially since I've been lucky enough to win a few matches with some stacked high-mana teams.

  • Here's the line-up for my most recent water magic victory.

  • End of battle. I almost lost Axe Master at the end but I'm glad he survived.

  • Desktop Replay and Mobile Replay

  • In my opinion, if the Water Splinter is available and you haven't used Water Splinter or Magic teams in your last three fights, it's a pretty safe-bet to make a water magic team -- unless your opponent's uses a lot of water splinter than I'd check their monster-choice and go with either an anti-magic Water Splinter team with Bortus as summoner, or an anti-magic Death Splinter team with Owster Rotwell as summoner.

  • For other splinters, I'd use Eastwood for Earth Splinter summoner due to his ability removing Armor which is useful against Venari Wavesmith or Mylor Crowley if they have a melee-heavy anti-magic team. With Earth Splinter, your best monsters in my opionion are Unicorn Mustang, Mushroom Seer, and Wood Nymph due to the first's Void ability which reduces Magic damage, the second's silence which reduces all enemy Magic damage by 1, and Wood Nymph to heal your anti-magic tank. If you feeling like spending some DEC, or massive amounts of DEC, there's also renting or even buying Minotaur Warlord who's anti-magic beast with 4 Melee Damage and the starting ability of Magic-Reflect.

  • For Life Splinter, it's a little tougher but still kind of manageable. I'd go with Lorna Shine or Divine Healer for summoner because Divine Shield ignores all first attacks and Divine Healer gives extra life for everyone. For monsters, I'd go with Clay Golem due to his Void ability, Crystal Werewolf due to their Silence ability which will weaken enemy Magic by 1, Chain Spinner due to Void Armor which forces Magic attacks to hit his Armor before his Health, and Djinn Renova and Lunakari Mistress for Magic damage since the enemy will probably have lots of Armor if they're Water Splinter because of Venari Wavesmith. You'll also want some healers for your magic-sponges, so Venari Crystalsmith and Divine Healer help out a lot. Tough part is, figuring out which combination to use -- especially since you only have 6 spots to use despite you maybe getting a maximum mana cap of 99. Kralus is an attack sponge whose stats can't be affected by enemy debuffs, which makes them valuable but they're rather expensive to rent/buy and cost

  • As for an anti-magic Fire Splinter team, that's a little tougher because you'll almost always need tons of mana in order to put together a pretty-good anti-magic team. It's tough to get past the Armor of an enemy water magic team due to Venari Wavesmith and the fact that other than Caladuum there aren't a lot of Magic monsters on fire with enough life to survive an enemy magic onslaught. But still, with the help of your friendly neighborhood Yodin Zaku you might be able to use the shared Blast ability to explode your way through all that Water Splinter armor. Fire's biggest setback when it comes to making anti-magic teams is that I can't think of a single Fire monster with the starting ability of Silence so you'll have do some serious leveling up -- or maybe don't push your luck with an anti-magic Fire team unless you're truly in a gambling mood.

Thank you. I noticed that there's a lot of magic teams now and Water Splinter has a lot of really good Magic monsters so I've started learning different strategies for dealing with them. They're not always successful lol but I truly appreciate when a strategy works.
