Battle Mage Secrets - Taking Sides Ruleset

Hello Friends,

Good day to you and happy weekend. I hope that this weekend is going well for you all and mine is also not bad. Yesterday was a little busy for me this week also as I had some work but Sunday is going cool so far. Here I am back to draft and publish a submission post for this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge.

This week, the ruleset is for Taking Sides and this took a lot of time. Once again this is also a rare ruleset and we don't get it quite often. I think that playing a battle is not just for the entertainment but also it allows us to figure out a different aspect of using different cards. Every card is unique in the game that brings different abilities to the battleground. Even the card placement is equally important and if we can place them well then it can help us improve the winning ratio altogether. I am sure that most of you will be trying to increase the winning ratio because our season-end and event daily rewards are based on winning.

The current season is gone by five days but still, we are left with more than ten days to play in the current season which I think is a good time. I often play more battles during the weekend because I get more time but even on weekdays I try to spend some time on the battleground. It's really good that we get this battle challenge in which we get the opportunity to try different rule sets. I also expect that they should be coming out with certain cards and this can also be good for us to figure out what good cards we have in the game.

Challenge Rule - Taking Sides

The rules that we had last week were rare and once again the one we have this week is also rare because I had to play a lot of battles to get this rule set. This is challenging but it is also fun which I enjoy because to find one specific rule set I had to play many battles in a row. This is how I get to know about different rule sets as well and it is because the game is vast and there is a lot to explore. Even after spending a few months on the game I feel like there is a lot to learn for me and the more I try to go in deep me more exciting the experience and I get to know about many new things in the game.

No neutral units may be used.

Neutral cards are very useful in the game but with this rule set we do not get that option and we have to play with only element cards in the battle. This is a different type of battle that we get to play if we get this rule set which I think is fun. I lost the battle but I still think it is fam and maybe next time I'll be able to play better.

Cards Selection for Battle

The battle got 60 good mana and because of this, I could pick some of the nice cards for the battle. Winning or losing battle is just part of the game and the most important part is that if we learn different tips and tricks while playing that can make the future gaming better. Sometimes even if we have better cards for the battle but we lose it because the opponent player has got even better collection. It is part of the game and instead of worrying about losing it, I think that we should enjoy the battle that makes a difference. Below are the cards I selected to play this battle -

  • Unicorn Mustang
  • Kron the undying
  • Regal Peryton
  • Goblin Psychic
  • Chaos Dragon
  • Mycelic Slipspann

Battle details and Link

Here I am sharing the link to my battle along with some snapshots. You can use the link to check out the battle and see how I played. I picked 6 cards with 42 mana and it was enough for the battle.

I also shared a couple of snapshots below from the battle that I discussed in this post

In this battle, I played with Dragon Summoner along with Earth Monsters. I was able to pick nice cards but if you look at the opponent's cards then you can say it has gotten better than me and that to from a higher level. Sometimes the type of card we pick is also important and even the placement is equally important in the battle. There are some common battle rule sets available across and we get these rules set quite frequently while playing in the game but still there are some rules set that are not so commonly available. We need to think through and understand what is the best card placement in these battles and what type of cars can play well, especially in this rule set that we are going to play.

Conclusion

For me every battle is fun and no matter whether I win or lose but as long as I enjoy it and gain some knowledge about different things including the card's abilities and even the placement. The more battles we play in the game gives us better insights but because of the limited energy in the game, we cannot play unlimited battles. There is an option to buy extra energy in the game which allows us to play more battles but with an increase in rating and levels, the cost of energy also goes up. I do buy these energies sometimes but I prefer to buy at the beginning of the season when my level is down because that is the time when I can get more energy for a low price. Buying more energy at a higher level costs a lot and this is the reason why I avoid buying in the second part of the season or I can say when the season is approaching its end.
