Battle Mage Secrets - "Up Close and Personal" Ruleset

Good day to you all and I hope that this weekend is going well for you. It's weekend time and I am trying to utilise this time and draft this battle share post for this week.

This time the rule set is different and this is also a little bit rare rule set that we cannot get often in the game. I have to play a lot of battles today which is Sunday and finally I got one rule set matching with this weak challenge theme. I think now the splinterlands team has been trying to find out the rule sets that are not common and players have to spend a lot of time to find one rule set so that they can create their battle share post. I don't know about others but I have to spend a lot of time on the game just to find the rule set and finally I got it.

Playing with different rules set is good and I enjoy it because I get to know about different rules set through this challenge. I have already shared in my previous post that I have spent only a couple of months on this platform. I am well aware that here we have many amazing players who have been playing this game for years so it's obvious that I can't compete with them in terms of knowledge. Despite the fact I am new in the game but still I am trying to absorb more knowledge about the game and learn as much as I can.

I played this battle with the ruleset Up Close and Personal and it was a good game play experience. I like participating in the battle share challenge because this helps me to play different rule sets and since I play daily, it's part of my daily routine. Winning or loosing battle is part of the game and I enjoy both and no mater what the result of battle is.

This splinterlands season will be ending in 4 days from now and I am playing is gold league and this is good for me. I can move to diamond league if I want but I don't have more SPS balance and this is why moving to higher league will not help me much. I will be trying to grow my SPS balance and now its price is also increase a bit. Currently I have taken the SPS on lease from rental market but ultimately I want to have more SPS in my game wallet. Having more SPS makes us play well in the game and we can increase the league with higher reward multiplier.

Challenge Rule - Up Close and Personal

This rule set for this week is pretty good but its a bit rare. After playing some battles I finally got the rule I wanted which is the theme for this week's challenge. I tried my best to pick some nice cards as per the battle rule and basis of the available mana.

Only units with melee attacks can be used. Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks. Units with 2 types of attacks (including melee) can be used.

With this battle, ruleset was different and I played very few battles with this rule in battles. My card selection was good but the opponent player was also not bad but the battle looks interesting.

I got 47 mana for this battle which is very good and this allowed me to pick nice 6 cards for the battle. I picked all the melee cards because this ruleset supports this. With this ruleset there are 2 more rules for this battle. Cursed Windeku is the monster I placed on front followed by some other monsters and it has got thorn ability. There are some other cards that I picked and placed followed by Cursed Windeku monster.

I am also sharing some battle snapshots below that I discussed in this post and this is a nice and fun battle.

The battle mana was not high but still, I managed to pick some cards that came with low mana cost but did well in the battle. The opponent player had a powerful card on the front but because of the explosion ability, my cards did much better and did double damage to the opponent player's cards. In the battle, it is always about trying different strategies because I think we cannot just stick to one way of playing butter instead of trying different ways than the fun. I keep on doing it and I know that because of this I also lose battle sometimes but it's fine because at least with this practice I am able to figure out the different methods to play the battle by keeping different cards on different slots.

Conclusion

Playing battle is the daily activity and there are some rulesets that we get more while playing. We can say these are common rules but the one which is the theme for the battle is a bit rate. When we won battle, we win reward and when we don't win then it can a learning experience. We can follow different strategies to play games and this is fun.
