Renting or Buying in Splinterlands Marketplace

I was going through the crypto market update and its good for all of us that spot ETF is now approved. I am still reading and trying to understand how it will bring value to the crypto market. In simple words we can say that it will increase the demand for Bitcoin through the exchange-traded funds but what are the internal aspects? I am trying to understand because it is a new topic for me and I have very limited information about it.

In the splinterlands game, I have completed six months and even in my last week's participation, I talked about my journey. I enjoy the game and play it every day and now in this article, I am going to talk about whether renting is a good idea for a new player or buying can also be a good option. If I talk about my journey then most of my battle experience and journey has been based on the rental market. If you have a good amount of money then you can surely go for buying in the market but still, you will need to understand that it might require a good amount of money. There is no point if you buy limited cards and expect your game player to be great.

You'll be getting a variety of cards in the rental market at a lower price. I have been using this rental market for about four to five months and never had any issues. There is one impact I can talk about which has affected me because the price of DEC has gone up. Earlier the price of DEC was low and this helped me a lot but later it increased. Now I need to pay more hive for Dec and then use the DEC token for the rental payout. I think it's fine because it is a market and things can be up and down.

Buying is good for those having so much money with them because it's not beneficial unless you have cards of level four and above at least. I do not have that much money so I don't think about buying for now but I can afford the rental. With rental, I get level 5 and above cards easily and I prefer renting for a month at least. Even if the owner cancelled the rental then also it is not a problem for me. I can go to the market again and take another car on the rental. It's like a big market for cards where I can take any card on the rent in less than a minute. Even if I buy some cards from the market I don't think it is going to help me because anyway I will be taking more cards from the rental market. If my requirement is going to be filled on the rental market only then why should I invest money in cards when I can enjoy just by paying the rent?

Conclusion

For now, I enjoy my gaming by taking cards on the rent and it is also helping the game because I create demand for the cards. It is good for the players who are not playing but they have good cards sitting idle in their account. Players like me can use these cards and pay them a certain amount as a rental cost which I think is good enough for both of us and I'm very happy doing this.
