Time to make a switch from Wild to Modern Battle format in Splinterlands

There are many changes happening in the splinterlands game. I have gone through some of the updates shared by the game account in which few things are completely new for me. This month such a big change has been implemented in the game which is about removing the card penalty and leaderboards from ranked battles. I have been playing the battles for last 6 months or more but I never got the luck to be part of the leaderboard because I am not that much expert in the game. So this removal of leadership or leaderboard is not a problem for me. I like the fact that card penalty has been removed and because of this I observe some improvement on my gameplay which is good for me because I am a new player. I think this change is good for every new player in the game and also for the existing players who are holding limited set of card.

Another change is announced which is going to happen next week and it is about changing the reward system in the game. In the current system revolts are post automatically to the players and we get season chest cards. We can unveil these cards to see what reward we have received after the season end but now this will not be happening once this change goes live. I can share whatever I have read on the post and they are going to introduce a new token which will be given to the players. This new token will be called glint and this will be a non transferable token. It means we will not be able to send this token to anybody else and the only use case we have is that we can use the token in reward shop.

I think that keeping this token non transferable is good because who ever is the winner can use the to come to buy anything from the rewards shop. This is another big change I am going to see in the game where the entire reward mechanism will be replaced by a new system. Aaj ka news system we will have the flexibility to keep the reward accumulated and buy something be from the shop or use it whenever we want as per the new reward system we will have the flexibility to keep the reward accumulated and buy something be from the shop or use it whenever we want as per our choice.

It is also mentioned on the announcement post that player who will be playing in modern will be getting more to comes as compared to players in wild format. Pipeline wild format because my gameplay is dependent upon rental market and I take cards from old editions. The reason why I take card from old edition because these cards are cheap in the rental market and rebellion cards are expensive. Looks like it is the time when I need to think about making a change in the game format. If they will be higher reward for players in modern then it is obvious that I will have to make a change from wild format to get better reward. It's like the game itself is encouraging people to be part of modern and wild will be left only for those who are using game helper but they will be rewarded less. Currently I can't say how things will be but I will try to go through the comparison between rewards in modern and wild.

Conclusion

There are multiple things which are new for me but still this reward change is important part of the game. I will continue to monitor if there is further update on this but if not then also from next season onwards I will be paying more attention to the reward. If I observe a significant increase on modern format versus while format then I will surely think about making a change on my rental strategy. I will have to calculate if taking the rental cards from latest edition will be beneficial for me and I think Chaos legion edition can be a good idea where I get cards at lower price but rebellion is slightly on higher side. What are your plans to play the game after the change implementation from next season onwards and are you going to make it modern format to play battles?
