Reverse Speed is a good ruleset for me to play my Earth deck. I have good options for low speed magic cards. I was working on the Neutral Quest so all monsters needed to be in the Earth splinter.

The Lineup

In low mana battles magic can be very effective as you might face face monsters with limited health. Obsidian gives +1 to magic so stacking 1 magic damage monsters can be a good option.

2 Mana, 4 Hitpoints and Magic Reflect makes for a great meat shield for low mana battles

** For our Featured Card we have Mycelic Morphoid. At level three it has Thorns to give it a bit more utility. In this case it was placed mainly as a low mana cost meat shield. It wasn't overly effective in this battle but it serverd its purpose **

Sadly Wood Nymph is a card I will miss when playing the Modern Format. In Reverse Speed it can get off more heals than usual as it has low health and can be killed easily at level 1.

This is a decent magic filler card for only 2 mana. With Reverse Speed is performs better due to the 1 speed.

It's always useful to have a 0 mana card option for low mana battles. It's placed here to provide sneak protection for Khmer Princess.

Lastly we have another 1 magic 1 speed card. With Camouflage this card is protected from attacks until it is in the first position.

Did It Work?

It worked exactly as I was hopping it would. My 1 speed cards are perfect for Reverse Speed. The magic spam took out the opponent efficently. Another option could have been to replace the first two cards with Hill Giant.

Do I like the MYCELIC MORPHOID?

It's a good card in the right situation. It's a good meat shield for low mana battles and getting thorns at level 3 is a nice bonus. I'm not sure getting it past level 3 is a priority but then again it is has a decent CP cost.
