MoonKarts Fuel Vault and Academy?

In the evolving world of play-to-earn racing games, MoonKarts distinguishes itself with systems that boost long-term engagement. Two of its most compelling mechanics are the Auto Vault and the forthcoming Academy—both designed to reward strategy, time, and smart asset management.
Auto Vault: Turn Unused Cards into Fuel
At its core, the Auto Vault allows players to stake cards that aren’t actively used in races and passively generate fuel, the essential resource for competing in multiplayer events. But it’s not just a “stake and forget” feature: several levers influence how productive your vault is.
Rarity & Type Matter: The rarer a card, the faster it contributes fuel. Combining cards strategically—by card synergies and choosing types well—can meaningfully improve fuel generation.
Minimum Staking Time & Cooldown: Before cards begin producing fuel, they must be staked for a minimum duration. If you withdraw early, you trigger a cooldown period during which that card cannot be used in races. This ensures players commit to their stakes and plan accordingly.
Scripts & Upgrades: Besides cards, staking Script tokens (from the Arcade Colony ecosystem) is required. Each additional card slot in Auto Vault demands at least 10 Scripts. Furthermore, upgrades to the Auto Vault—paid with Scripts and COLONY tokens—unlock higher potential fuel generation.
Fuel has constraints: it’s non-transferable, bound by storage caps, and any generation above capacity is lost. Also, using more powerful or high-rarity cards consumes more fuel in races. So players face trade-offs between building out their deck vs. managing fuel efficiency.

Academy: Soon to Reward Loyalty & Active Participation
The Academy, still under development, offers a complementary staking mechanic. Players will use it to stake cards to earn Airdrop Points—a non-transferable metric that determines eligibility and frequency of airdrops (e.g. drivers, boosters, car-parts). These points are consumed when claiming airdrops. The system is built to reward active players who consistently commit their assets.
From a game-economics perspective, Auto Vault and Academy build in time value into cards and tokens. Rather than letting assets sit idle, these systems give them purpose—and create recurring demand for Script & COLONY tokens as well as card upgrades. They encourage players to think long-term: do you hold onto cards, stake them, or burn fuel racing? Each decision shapes your path.
