Splinterlands - A Splintermate Story - Still using the Bot, How is it doing?
There is about three days left till the season ends and I've just had to make my second payment to continue using the Splintermate bot service. As such I thought I'd do a quick update about how it has been going.

Lets get straight to it:
Splintermate
As previously noted I started using the Splintermate service. It seems to work pretty well and as I've mentioned before I looked into the Archmage bot but it's next to impossible to get a token when they are available and on the "secondary market" they cost a bomb. So instead I went with the Splintermate service which costs USD1.00 per account to use.
Working out whether it's "earning its keep" is a bit tricky, especially with the move to SPS rewards but my feeling if you look at my last seasons rewards (33 chests) which (based on peakmonsters) was a USD0.36 earnings in cards and DEC alone (ignoring the potions etc and ignoring the daily chests). If everything was counted it's probably easily making USD1.00 per season. I'll keep an eye of this and if I figure out a better way to manage this I will for sure. Long story short, I haven't had to add anything to my existing Splinterlands assets (or liquidate any splinterlands assets) to pay for the serbice so far which is great.
With three days to go I'm on 33 season chests already - That's as good as last season using the bot so it will be interesting to see how many more it gets this time around.
One key stat to note - the bot is so far maintaining about a 55% win rate which I'm very pleased with. It's probably not far from what I can do myself! The only difference is I can choose to use more focus cards whereas I've restricted the bot from doing that and just having it go for the best win rate for the most part.
Updates
There's always a new update or two but a recent one I really like is the new "payment system". In short you needed to make a payment via the hive engine or an ingame transfer and then notify the team on the Splintermate discord. There is now a system in place for this via the bot webpage. I'll definitely be using that in the future!
With that update there appears to be a way to use the service (from the webpage) to get the one day trial and to upgrade the account. This should make the bot more accessible as I'm sure having to do payments and account stuff like this manually will have put some people off.
