Splinterlands FAVORITE BATTLES #3 MYLOR VS MYLOR // MELEE ONLY // OPPORTUNITY // 19 MANA

In the Splinterlands Lore it is said of Mylor Crowling, "His style is wild and reckless and he laughs while summoning, like it is all a big game."

And why shouldn't he, the Elven Cutthroat thought to herself. "I mean it is all a big game, and everyone knows that laughter is the best medicine, win or loose."

"That's probably why he wins so much", she continued thinking, "and it's certainly why I like to be on his team", she mused.

"Elvie" is what they called her at home, and when Mylor called her by her familiar name she felt warm inside. She knew her family expected her to wed with one of her kind, however she couldn't stop thinking about the gifted Mylor.

He was relatively new to these parts, and aside from being wily at battle, not much was known of him. She was very curious to get to know him but after battles he disappeared, sometimes not even collecting his prize money; and having chores to do she was expected home after claiming her prize as soon as the clamor was over.

This particular match threw her off a little when she discovered Mylor had a twin, oddly with the same name, and since they both vanished immediately after the fray she wasn't sure what to think.

Fortunately she was fighting with the winning Mylor's team. At least there was that. Even though she didn't make it through the entire battle, she still got her cut of the winning pool.

Her family relied on the winnings she brought home to help with all manner of such and such's. (She had a large family, always needing something from the neighboring inhabitants of the Splinterlands.)

It was the scavengers, "Screech" (Screeching Vulture), and the creepy Parasitic Growth, (who she tended to avoid, even though he was often a key player in many of the melees she won in), it was those two who came through in the end bringing home the victory.

💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦

She liked the new girl, known only as the Venari Scout, one of the new breeds that had recently come up from underground. She thought she held her own during the battle, was able to dodge fairly well, (and wore a lovely cape).

Really it was a simple scuffle since Screech and the Parasitic Growth fought together regularly, making a favored team with their ability to scavenge so many hearts during battle.

Cockatrice, who she had been fighting with for years, was always a great little frontline tank. Opponents couldn't look him directly in the eyes, (lest they be poisoned immediately), thus they often missed his small and agile serpent body.

Eventually Hydra, with its many heads, caught the Cockatrice, but even so Hydra couldn't hold off the scavengers.

Since it was Mylor's mysterious twin they were playing against, (who, evidently, also liked to laugh a lot, (she guessed it ran through the family)), everyone often ended up laughing as well, maintaining a fun, albeit feisty, atmosphere.

And even as both Mylors' immediately disappeared, due respect was given to @Tarazkp (her team's benefactor), by the opposing team.

Elvie felt a special pride being hired by @Tarazkp The Legionnaire of the Conquests of Kibandia Guild, and was grateful her squad could give @Tarazkp the win.

Noticing @Sima369 was of the All For One - One For All Guild, Elvie thought the name of that Guild went along with Mylor's fun-loving attitude around brawling - laughter whether one wins or looses, (but it's definitely more fun to win, (the quiet voice in the back of her mind added)).

She could see @Sima369 studying after the fray, taking notes, demonstrating she was evaluating why she lost, logging what she'd likely do differently next time. Splinterlands altercations weren't always easy, and became more and more complex as time went on. Learning from one's mistakes, along with taking the wins and loses in stride, seemed to be the best way to maintain stamina, (and sanity for that matter), over the long haul.

Now if she could only figure out where Mylor disappeared to...☘️
