10 Classic Video Games that Defined a Generation

However before I start of with my blog for today I'll like to say thank you to @hivetrending and everyone else for the warm welcome into this community and the discord community.

In my previous blog post which was yesterday, I shared on the topic of the future of gaming with Play-to-earn P2E feature. I also made mention of the powerful merge between Blockchain, P2E, Virtual and Augmented reality.

I dedicate today's blog post to all the game lovers and game fans on HivePizza. We're taking a ride back in history to list the top 10 coolest classic games that totally defined an entire generation.

The super awesome world of video games has witnessed a seriously remarkable transformation, evolving from basic and boring old pixelated graphics to highly captivating virtual universes that have excited and engaged gamers of all ages for years.

Can you remember your most favourite classic game of all time. I'll definitely love to know in the comments section guys.

A lot of things in the game world has changed. Yesterday I made a blog post talking about how P2E games have brought a whole new side and perspective to gaming. Gamers are now starting to consider the value they get from gaming either than the fun.

I bet all these powerful gaming companies like Rockstar and Electronic Arts are already planning some games that would include P2E in the future.

However throughout the years, certain games have not only left an indelible mark on the gaming industry or world but has found a place in the hearts of most gamers out there.

One thing I can never forget about GTA is that famous beat it plays when it's loading the Rockstar and GTA logo. Another thing was the way the NPCs walk.

Although new game mechanics are starting to look more Human, the old classic games have an identity that can never be forgotten.

Who in here is a Need For Speed, NFS Fan? Some people can notice the racing road anywhere online. That was actually the first time I saw a Nissan GTR and it became one of my most favorite super cars.

I'm just here to pay homage to 10 classic video games that not only defined their respective generations but continue to exert a very profound influence on gaming culture today.

Let's start off our list shall we

Before I begin just wanted to state this out regarding the list, I arranged it from the oldest to the not so old.

The fact that your favorite game was not part does not mean it wasn't good or classic. It's simply the 10 games I'm already aware of guys. So I apologize all game lovers 🥰

These 10 classic video games represent and epitomize the evolution of gaming from its very humble beginnings to the present day.

I'm really hoping for the HivePizza community to build some classic games as well. I believe Blockchain P2E based games are really the next future of the gaming world.

Probably in some decades to come, the new list of classic games would definitely include a lot of Blockchain based games like Splinterlands, Terracore and Rising Star.

I remember playing super Mario about 10 years ago and at that time I didn't know that it was as old as the late 80s. I thought it was this new game and the world felt so advanced at that time. Years later looking back at it and I realize how things have so changed.

I don't know but I feel things were simpler and the simplicity kinda managed to feel more fun than this modern super advance games. I guess the fun experience we had was probably because video games where new to us at the time.

Before I end my blog post for today I really wanted to also talk about the rumor that has been spreading for a while.

It's being rumored a lot that the upcoming release of GTA 6 could be coming with a Play-to-earn feature. I really don't know how true that is but I'm certain that the more experienced gamers on Hive Pizza may know the truth behind that rumor. But It would be great if it was true.

Imagine having to finally earn real cash from completing GTA missions or earning actual money for winning an NFS race. I'll say no more but every NPC you kill and take money from could actually be real money. 😂
