Hi there my dear friends on and greetings to my favorite community, Cent community. It's a wonderful day and an opportunity to contribute to this growing vibrant community. Before I begin today's blog I would like to appreciate this community for their support and encouragement. @alt-runner made a post that showed that Cent really appreciate its members and their contribution.

Well today's blog post is a special one guys, I know we all know that one great and vibrant city in the world, the City of Dubai in Saudi Arabia. Well in today's blog, I'll share very briefly the story of how this city started from an absolute desert to becoming one of the best most visited cities in the world. The intention is to teach us the morals of never giving up and that you can start from anywhere into greatness.

Dubai, some very few years back was merely a simple fishing town. Nobody heard of it. I mean come on guys, did you even know that there was a place called Dubai when it wasn't what it is today?🤔

That is basically how life works, nobody knows you until you make a mark

The place was known as a fishing town filled with more Arabs, mosques and the Saudi Arabian culture.

Dubai was meh, it had nothing special. Then one glorious day, the leader of Dubai at that time, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, proposed a very great ambitious and futuristic idea.

Now it was around that time that Dubai had discovered oil. If my memory serves me right, it was actually the Americans that came to a spot in dubai and said to the officials and leaders that they think there might be oil on this land.

They did their technological research and experiments by drilling through and checking the land for oil and guess what, a lot of oil was discovered. The leader immediately said, they should close the oil site and not do anything about it. If I'm not mistaken, his intention was that, that kind of money could corrupt.

Until his desire to make Dubai more than just a fishing town was candled. He then instructed them to open the the oil site and the ARAMCO company was formed. It was an association between America and Saudi Arabia for their oil. This ARAMCO company really brought wealth to the city.

The wealth was not wasted at all because the leader had a dream and therefore he really invested the money into transforming Dubai. There were setbacks in trying to build one of the best cities in the world but the people never gave up.

They attempted some of the strangest most difficult projects in the world. One of their craziest projects in the world was the Palm Jumeirah, An artificial island shaped in a palm tree form
That's a crazy and ambitious project. Did you know that the island is so big and great it can literally be seen from outer space. That's simply a wonderful scenery.

The engineers behind the island had to really put in a lot of effort to make the Palm island a wonderful place. The leader didn't stop from there. After his success in the artificial island, he built more artificial Islands.

There was also the project of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. This is a spectacle to behold. It has brought many visitors from all parts of the world into Dubai. It has really made the city prosperous and popular.

They also built some of the finest facilities in the world. One of the most expensive hotels in the world. They are now people of the future, working on a lot of futuristic projects.

Trust me guys I could go on and on about the wonderful marvels in that great city but there's a lot you can read about Dubai on social media. I only want to share the lessons learned in their story from nothingness to one of the greatest.

So, what's the lesson?

Well the lesson we should all take home about the story of Dubai is that you should never give up. Dubai's ride teaches us to go after what you want. Those who stuck with the vision and hustled proved that not giving up is the secret sauce. No matter how many times you fail just pick yourself up and try again guys.

While we're out chasing dreams, Dubai's whispering, "Keep it up!" Just like they turned sand into these insane structures, we can totally make our dreams real. Believe it, grind it out, and shout, "I'm never going to give up on my dreams!"
