WOO - CM PUNK'S PIPE BOMB: Most Controversial Moment in WWE

Greetings to my favorite wrestling community online, WOO.

It's @skyehi and I'm happy to be back again with another wrestling blog for everyone. Well in today's blog we'll be traveling a little bit into the past.

One of the craziest and most controversial moments in the history of WWE has been the time CM Punk sat on the floor close to the entrance and gave a speech that was dubbed CM Punk's Pipe Bomb.

CM Punk brought a whole lot of truths or lies depending on whose side you're on, out into the open.

He said a lot about WWE that well according to the company, presented the entire company and some of the wrestlers whose names he mentioned in a very bad light.

He talked about big names like John Cena and The Rock. He said that they were ass kissers kissing the ass of Vince McMahon the Chairman of WWE.

The moment happened on TV in 2011 and was a really huge deal. We all know CM Punk and his claim of being the best wrestler in the world. However the company at the time usually presented John Cena as the best in the world.

This is more reason why even people that are not fans of wrestling know John Cena and why Cena has had huge success in his wrestling career.

Punk in his speech told John Cena and everyone watching that he was the best wrestler, the best in the world.

The interesting part about this Pipe Bomb speech was that it was not a scripted promo he was asked to do but it was very real. Punk gave the entire WWE organization and the rest of the world a piece of his mind.

Punk said in his speech that he liked John Cena, but he doesn't like that people think Cena is the best. Punk said that he was the best and this is where it got bad, he also said that the only thing Cena is better at is kissing Vince McMahon's Ass. Punk even said Cena is as good at it as Hulk Hogan was when Hulk was still wrestling.

This was a huge statement made and definitely started presenting the company in a really bad light. In a way, he embarrassed Vince, John, other superstars and the entire organization.

One other thing Punk did which came as a surprise was when he waved to the camera, breaking the wrestling rule of not showing it's not real.

This meant that Punk was being real and everyone finally knew that it was no scripted scene, everything he said was his actual opinion.

Punk talked about how he had to prove himself over and over that he was truly the best in the world and still wasn't recognized as best.

In my own opinion, Punk may not be the overall best in the world but he's clearly a better wrestler than John Cena. He has beaten John and infact members of the Shield. He almost beat Brock Lesnar when Brock was in his prime. That's something Cena couldn't do.

He also talked about not being on TV shows or movies like John Cena and the Rock. The company presented Cena as the best when it was not true. Punk said a lot of things he shouldn't have said but I believe some or a lot of it was the objective Truth.

Some of the wrestlers probably thought that way but was the only one with the guts to actually say it in front of a live audience

Punk made people cheer for him but also told them they are part of why he's leaving. He said fans buy things with other wrestlers on them and then want his autograph to sell on eBay. He said he might go to other wrestling companies after leaving WWE.

Then Punk continued to talk about Vince McMahon and said Vince might make more money off of the audience after he's gone. Punk even said the company might be better without Vince. He told a story about a campaign against bullying but got his microphone turned off before he could finish.

My thoughts on the famous Pipe Bomb is that although CM Punk seemed to have dishonored the company, some of it was actually true.

For whatever reason, WWE decided to bring Punk back after 10 years outside the company. No wonder Seth Rollins hated the idea of Punk coming back.

I believe that WWE knew that even though CM Punk has done some stuff to hurt the company's reputation, one thing that remains true is how good of a wrestler, an entertainer and a performer CM Punk is.
