WOO - Growing Hive Through Gaming

Hi there everyone,

Here's a question for you, what's your favorite game on Hive?

Well there's quite a few games on Hive that are Play-to-earn and that's thanks to Web3 technology and Blockchain technology.

I'm posting on WOO so you probably already know my answer to the question of my favorite game. One of the things I've observed in today's world is that games are getting wild and popular.

Everybody is currently talking about GTA 6 and how Rockstar rescheduled the release date to 2025. When they released the GTA 6 trailer, it got more viral than any music video released online.

This goes to show how many people where anticipating the release of the game.

There's also going to be the world's first gamer's world cup organized by ESPORTS in summer of 2024 so that's going to be around September.

I think I talked about this a few days ago; if you check a social media platform like YouTube, some of the biggest channels are gaming channels. PewDiePie's channel which has the most subscribers on YouTube is a gaming channel and Mr Beast also has a gaming channel.

One thing that both children and adults love are games. Not too long ago, we started having Play-to-earn, P2E games where the gamers can earn actual money in the form of in-game rewards for completing game missions or winning a battle.

P2E games are becoming increasingly popular although sadly for now, most developers of P2E games tend to focus too much on players earning rewards than the actual graphics and mechanics of their App.

I believe whether a game is P2E or not, it's primary focus should always be on fun otherwise P2E games can easily turn into investment platforms.

I have strong confidence in the future of P2E games and I believe that Hive can get very popular from these games like Splinterlands and WOO.

More people are entering the gaming world and if we as developers can build great Apps that are connected on the Blockchain, it could be a quick and sure way to onboard a lot of users.

Let me vividly explain my point; just imagine if GTA 6 was a Hive based game. I think this point is self-explanatory right?

The success of the GTA 6 game is a historic one, with the Rockstar company making over a billion dollars in the early release of GTa 5 over ten years ago.

The company will most definitely make billions of dollars releasing GTA 6 and I'm sure since they want to make a grand entrance, they decided to work more on the game which resulted in the rescheduling of the game to 2025 instead of the initial release date of early 2024.

Imagine if we could build games as complex and as high graphics as GTA 6, Call of Duty or Need for Speed on HIVE, it would immediately draw millions and millions of gamers to the Hive community.

This is the whole point I'm trying to make and I really don't think I should give further examples because this is clear and I believe very feasible.

However I understand that it would take a lot of work, programming, investments and testing. It wouldn't be easy but for what it's worth, I believe we can give it a try.
