WOO - My Take on Drew McIntyre's WWE Contract Situation
Hi there everyone, welcome back to WOO.
So, I have been following the latest news about Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract and let me tell you that it has been a wild ride. As an enthusiast like myself, you felt the thrill when at Wrestlemain XL he was made world champion, even if only for a little while.
But things took a different turn. He was defeated by Damian Priest in the blink of an eye with some interference from CM Punk. How heartbreaking
Now, there is this report from PWInsider claiming that his contract will soon be up for renewal within like the next 5 or 6 weeks. It makes me so much anxious.
Also, there is this major shake-up in Talent Relations department at WWE. They brought in Chris Legentil and Matthew Altman to sign new talent and keep current stars happy.
I guess that is good right? However, it also leaves me wondering what is happening behind scenes too.
Now, let us consider Dutch Mantell’s thoughts on the matter. He is an old hand at wrestling after all.
This seems to be highly unlikely as per Mantell.
His anticipation is that McIntyre will never leave WWE until he retires. That said it was a relief but with pro wrestling being what it is, you never can tell.
I have to say that I’m a little cut up over what happened last week on RAW. McIntyre had an opportunity for another chance at the title, but CM Punk had to ruin it yet again. With recent happenings, it just feels like nothing goes right for him.
You know what? I am still convinced about McIntyre even amidst all this uncertainty and chaos. He has shown time and time again that he’s one who should not be messed with inside the ring.
Additionally, he has been a mainstay of WWE’s programming especially during the pandemic when things turned sour for everyone else.
Certainly, relinquishing the title at WrestleMania XL was a blow to McIntyre but he has had these kind of things before and came back stronger for it.
Furthermore, there is even a chance that this contract dilemma will be an eye-opener to tell WWE why they should not let him go as far as he is concerned.
But in the end I'm just one of those fans who want McIntyre to be the best. Even if he stays with WWE or goes on to explore new horizons, I will remain his number one supporter.
In any case, Drew McIntyre will always be my true Scottish Warrior.
