WOO - Randy Orton's Interest in Working with Matt Riddle and Rikishi's Idea for a World Heavyweight Championship Feud
Hi guys,
While looking for WWE news, there was one thing that caught my eye.
It is about Randy Orton wishing to collaborate with his former tag partner Matt Riddle; having been a fan of the two, mainly when they joined forces as RK-Bro.
They worked together so well and it even allowed Randy to display a slightly different side of himself which we had not seen much before.
Accordingly, it was announced that Randy Orton himself asked to be paired with Matt Riddle. Isn’t that amazing?
In an interview with Johnny I Pro Show, Riddle said he had worked with Orton in a match and this impressed him but also noticed his hard-working nature which made him& want to team up with such a big name in WWE like Orton.
However, just when things were going on well for RK-Bro, Orton got injured and the two had to go their separate ways. That sucked. By the time Orton returned, Riddle was already gone from WWE.
It is sad that RK-Bro did not last longer than we wanted to see; however, it’s good that we managed to enjoy their services for a while.
Now move on to another interesting piece of news. Recently at WrestleMania 40 where Damian Priest won the World Heavyweight Title, Rikishi shared his thoughts about this aspect as a WWE legend.
For Rikishi, he thinks this can only be done if Priest battles with right opponents. Then who would be perfect match for priest according to him? Randy Orton himself!
I have to agree with Rikishi on this one though.
When you’ve been in WWE for as long as Orton has been and have faced some of the best there is in your profession; then it’s hard being anything but a legend among men. If anyone can help make Damian Priest an even bigger star and take him to the next level, it’s Orton though.
Just think of the build-up to a feud between Orton and Priest. Imagine the mind games, the promos, the anticipation of their match. It would be electrifying
And remember Orton’s background he is not going to show any mercy on Priest making him look like one million bucks in that ring.
At present, Priest has his mind set on Jey Uso who challenged him at Backlash 2024. What will tomorrow bring? Maybe sometime we will see Orton and Priest go head to head in the ring, with World Heavyweight Championship at stake.
In general, I think it is great seeing veterans like Orton ready to work with younger wrestlers such as Riddle and Priest.
This is a win-win situation for everybody – the viewers have an opportunity to see some brilliant performances while the young superstars become familiar with the best in the industry.
I, on my part, will be monitoring both Orton and Priest more closely in the next few months. What other surprises may WWE have for us?
Nonetheless, one thing is certain – all through their journey, I will support them.
