WOO - Why Cody Rhodes Moving to SmackDown Makes Sense to Me
Hello wrestling fans and as always welcome to Wrestling Organization Online, WOO.
You know what, there’s something that I just want to share with you and it is about the WWE universe.
And it’s all about Cody Rhodes who might be joining SmackDown. Now, I don’t consider myself an authority on this matter but as a WWE fan for so long, I can tell why this move is only natural.
To start with, let us discuss the new World Tag Team Title revealed by Triple H and Adam Pearce on RAW.
It really got me thinking about those titles – were they not similar to the ones on SmackDown? That means anyone holding them would be in RAW. Undisputed WWE Champion is Cody anyway so his belt would make him look out of place on RAW.
This therefore makes SmackDown a better option for him.
Another thing that intrigued me is who Cody’s possible challengers at Backlash might be between AJ Styles and LA Knight.
As they are both from SmackDown, it is more probable that Cody would stay on that brand. Moreover, WWE seems to have focused on the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Jey Uso on RAW, thus making it somewhat logical for Cody to make his way to SmackDown.
But what really swayed me was Roman Reigns. This has been evident in the recent dominance of Roman Reigns on SmackDown, which implies that Cody should be his successor.
I mean Roman’s historic reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, therefore makes sense for Cody to tread down the same path in his career as he takes a move to Smackdown.
And then there is the praise of Triple H in reference to Cody at the WrestleMania 40 press release.
This included his thoughts about Cody’s attraction to all categories of fans for WWE, and he is the best star for “Triple H Era”.
This had me thinking that if anything, when Triple H sees Cody as the future of WWE why would he not be on SmackDown where it seems like everything big is happening?
Cody moving to SmackDown is a good move on his part. It just feels right doesn’t it?
With new tag team title matches, potential opponents at Backlash, who happens to be on the same brand with Roman Reigns and what have been said by Triple H combined together make SmackDown a perfect place for Cody Rhodes.
And hey, who knows maybe we will find him leading the charge in “Triple H Era” much earlier than we expect.
