Help building a starter Deck , Splinterlands Rebuild

Well it has been a small white since I have really checked out splinterlands. I was a pretty avid player a while back but had to end up selling my cards.

I am now looking at buying renting more cards and I am looking for the community for help.

I am planning to spend another 100 hive and 5000 credits on cards, I know not a lot but hoping this will get me started.

The main thing I am looking for is what are some cards I should buy at first?

I have rented a select few cards but I am hoping to get out of bronze and be able to earn better cards to not have to rent as much.

I was focused on red quest so I had rented these cards.

So if anyone within the splinterlands community would like to set me on they way to buy some cards, I will be greatly appreciated.

The Pyre summoner is a good one if you focus on some fast fire cards - spark pixies, serpentine spy, fineas rage, fire elemental. You will hit first with that summoner and those cards in play.

I know very little about Splinterlands, but my daughter plays it frequently and it is quite informed for a 12-year-old. @KidSisters, maybe you should hop in here and give some advice...

At this point in time it might be a case of looking at what is going cheapest and working from there. We were just discussing this the other day on the dilemma as the out of print cards get harder to obtain. Apparently they will be splitting the gameplay into two divisions when the Chaos Legion cards come out so that you can choose to play Untamed, Dice and Chaos Legion, if you're new to the game, or Wild for all cards if you have a lot of the earlier cards too. So maybe focus on the Untamed and Dice for now, then purchase packs in the new release.

I’m not sure how this divide will work for reward cards. Maybe only those issued from Untamed onwards? @mattclarke will know more on this than me.

You can tell from the frame. The newer rewards cards have the 'Untamed' frame. It's a bit busier. The earlier rewards cards have the Beta frames.
Beta left, Untamed right.

Bortus and Sea monster are excellent together in bronze/silver.
