My opinion on the splinterlands ecosystem and crypto in general

Chaos legion has, at the time of writing this post, sold almost 8,2 million packs. The pack purchases slowed down, dec and sps are down from there ath, but im still positive! Why?! Well splinterlands is not only a game in which you invest and play but it also is a brand and a company with more potential than some people understand. And yes I own allot of cards and assets so maybe I am biased, but what I can see is that most people in the crypto space are always so inpatient and in my eyes childish (when lambo, when this, when that.) For these people I am writing this post not to make fun of them or to be negative about them but to try to educate them to make wise decisions and see the greater picture.

Yes card prices are down and dec and sps are down but first rule of crypto is to never look at the price when you want to invest. If you look at the price of something you can only see what other people think its worth. You want to determine for yourself what an asset is worth, we call this the value. Value and price are two different things. Price can be low and value can be high or the other way around. What I am saying is this don't look only at the price of an asset but also look at the value of it. If we take an example: the reward card Djinn Oshannus is at the time of writing priced at around the 3,5$ mark. But is this the real value? No and why im saying this is that you not only invest in a picture on the blockchain but it is an asset that brings value. Consider this: 500 airdrop points from which you get sps, if you rent them you get dec (more airdrop points), over time they go out of print (scarcity) and when land comes out you need monsters to work the land. So the need for cards in the future is higher than ever, today its not so the price is low. Value is worth more than price. I would say do you're own research and try to understand that splinterlands is not a get rich quick but an long time asset collecting game and brand what one day will generate passive income from other that don't saw the potential in the past.
