Lava Spider.gif

Hello everyone! So today we are going to highlight Lava Spider! A fire type splinter with a snipe ability.

The dwarven warrior crept his way towards a long stretch of stone corridor. It had taken him months to find this secret entrance within the dense jungle. A hideout for supporters of the Chaos Legion. He intended to destroy them all and make safe the area once again.
He made his way silently into the corridor, gripping his dagger tightly. But as he trekked further into the darkness, he felt the heat increase. A heavy frown crossed his features. That wasn't right. Why was it getting so hot?
He turned a corner and stifled an alarmed cry. Crisscrossing the corridor were strands of spiderwebs that glowed red hot. He brought his dagger up, but it was too late. A searing pain stabbed into his back.
He was unconscious by the time the burning web was wrapped around him.

This card reminds me of Spiderman tho. What a badass!

My TEAM

Pyre.png

Since lava spider is a fire type I chose Pyre as the summoner to enhance the speed to all of my monsters. I think this is a great strategy so I can attack first and damaged my opponents.

f1.pngLiving Lava was put on the frontline because I know that this card is good as a defensive fighter and also the fact that it can reduced the damage attacks of melee and ranged attackers.

So on the second position is Venari Heatsmith, even though it has no damage, this one can be use as a decoy or shield to protect my other monsters.

Third position comes Serpentine Spy and ohh how i love cards with opportunity ability that attacks monsters with the lowest health in the battle.

And last but not the least, we have Lava Spider which is our theme monster card. This card is a range attacker which is why I have to put him behind and also to hide him from the attackers. Its snipe ability is very useful in targeting monsters in the back. Well, the web probably could gone too far to hit the opponent. lol

Now, let's talk about my opponent who uses Obsidian as his Summoner. Obsidian is an Earth type card that adds +1 magic attack to all magic attack users on the field. Below are their positions (left to right) and special ability.

Questions from Splinterlands:

Did your strategy work?
Glad to say that it did. On the first round of the match, Mycelic Morphoid was easily eliminated by Serpentine Spy and that's already an advantage for me. The only problem was the chance of being taken down by Unicorn Mustang and I was also worried because of the Goblin Psychic healing it. Meanwhile, on the second round Lava Spider was able to lessen the health of Goblin Psychic and my Serpentine Spy taking the final blow and was able to kill it. However, Unicorn Mustang was able to kill Living Lava but with the 3 monsters that I had, it was enough to have my victory.

What will you try differently next time? If given a chance of using Lava spider again, I think I will try to use Tarsa as the summoner and unleash it's potential for another great battle.

Do you like the LAVA SPIDER? Why or why not? Lava Spider is one of my favorite! I believe it is a great archer with a low mana cost, not to mention its excellent health! This spider has certainly earned its tough HP by devouring all those who fall into its web!
