Social Media Challenge- How to play Splinterlands?

What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital collectible card game based on the Hive blockchain technology. The concept is almost similar to Yu gi Oh, building up cards, each with their own abilities and characteristics, and using them to engage other players in skill-based battles. Players can trade, purchase, and sell their items on the blockchain, much like they can with conventional collecting cards.

How does play to earn work within Splinterlands?

  • If you're playing in ranked mode, you can participate in tournaments and receive rewards for winning: you can get Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) rewards each time you win a combat. Bonus DECs are awarded if you win two games in a row.
  • Receiving gifts: Just by completing your daily mission, you can receive gifts. Furthermore, when a season ends, you receive season incentives every 15 days. You can also receive presents directly from other players.
  • You can earn money by purchasing, selling, and renting packs and cards.
  • Burning cards: You can earn DEC points by burning cards. A card that is burned will be removed to its existence.

You'll need to buy the $10 Summoner's Spellbook to unlock these play-to-earn features.

The Splinterlands game interface can be found on the website's main page. It's also compatible with Android smartphones and tablets. The mobile version, on the other hand, does not include all of the web version's capabilities.

Mechanistics of the game
Optimizing your team's numbers and skills to maximize your chances of winning a battle is the goal of Splinterlands. It's critical to understand how to configure teams for optimum performance because the real battle runs automatically based on battle settings.

Cards
A monster or summoner profile makes up a card. The real fighting is done by monsters, while summoners employ magic to summon monsters from their natural homes into battle. You can have one summoner card and up to six monster cards on the battlefield.

The battleground
Each row on the battlefield is:

  1. The front row is where the enemy is most visible. Unless they have special abilities, monsters from this row assault opponents.
  2. Back row — There are monsters to back up. To fill a void left by the enemy killing a monster in the front row, a monster from the back row jumps up to fill the gap in front.

Conclusion
In comparison to established NFT games like Axie Infinity or Plant vs Undead, Splinterlands is less expensive in terms of how much money you'll need to get started. However, just because a Spellbook costs only $10 does not mean that playing it is a piece of cake.

If you want to earn a lot of money, you'll have to climb up the ranks or spend more money so you can buy or rent cards to boost your chances. It's also easier said than done, in my own experience. The game necessitates a thorough understanding of the cards, stats, powers, and battle field. To gain domination in the game, you must devote extra time to learning those.
