Hoy les presento el diseño de la carta "Lyanna Natura". Mi objetivo fue replicar su apariencia de una manera más relacionada con el diseño original. Me esforcé por utilizar la mayor cantidad de elementos posibles para jugar con esos recursos. Si les gusta el diseño, los invito a leer todo el proceso

PROCESO / PROCESS

I took this generated image and began conceptualizing the elements to use alongside the card's illustration. I started by incorporating the figure into the overall design. I cropped some generated bushes and tried to shape them using the lasso tool for more flexibility. Afterwards, I placed them at the bottom of the shoulders and chest to achieve a harmonious blend with the drawing

Tomé esta imagen generada y comencé a idear los elementos a utilizar junto con la ilustración de la carta. Inicié el proceso integrando la figura en el diseño general. Recorté unos arbustos generados y procuré darles forma con la herramienta de lazo para una utilización más fluida. Posteriormente, los dispuse en la parte inferior de los hombros y el pecho para lograr una integración equilibrada con el dibujo.

For the lower part, I began by cutting out the figure and created an upper layer for the torso, getting ready to start working on the skirt and "corset." I applied the same texture separation as in the leaves and proceeded to play with the skirt's colors, shifting its hue to white since it closely resembled the original illustration.

Para la sección inferior, comencé recortando la figura y creé una capa superior para el torso, preparándome así para trabajar en la parte de la falda y el "corset". Apliqué la misma separación de texturas que usé en las hojas y procedí a jugar con los colores de la falda, cambiándole la tonalidad a blanco, ya que en la ilustración original presenta una tonalidad muy similar.

LORE

I wanted to add a touch of drama, drawing inspiration from the lore of the card I read. I tried to depict her as if she were crying, with smeared makeup, heartbroken and sad, exposed to the public. Perhaps this reflects a past marked by turmoil and a longing to be what she once was. I also added the number 27 as a nod to my lucky number. All these elements were added in a layer above the woman's image, using the overlay blending mode.

Quise añadir un toque más dramático, inspirándome en la historia de la carta que leí en su LORE. Traté de representarla como si estuviera llorando, con el maquillaje corrido, despechada y triste, exponiéndose ante el público. Quizás esto refleje un pasado marcado por adversidades y el anhelo de ser lo que era antes. También incorporé el número 27 como un guiño a mi número de la suerte. Todos estos elementos los agregué en una capa sobre la imagen de la mujer, utilizando el modo de fusión superponer.

To include her characteristic yellow flower, I placed it on the other side since the image was flipped. While I could have positioned it on the same side, the idea was for it to stand out, so I added a yellow glow to highlight it against the color of her hair. This was intended to convey the message that, despite challenging circumstances, she will always shine.

Para incorporar su distintiva flor amarilla, la coloqué en el lado opuesto debido a que la imagen estaba invertida. Aunque podría haberla ubicado en el mismo lado, la intención era que se destacara, así que la agregué con un resplandor amarillo para resaltar sobre el color de su cabello. De esta manera, quería transmitir el mensaje de que, a pesar de las dificultades, ella siempre brillará.

BACKGROUND // FONDO

For the background, I started by placing her name, both the main and secondary, in a large size and in white to emphasize each detail about her. I began cutting branches to use them as if they were protruding from the letters. If we're aiming for realism, nature had to surround her.

Para el fondo, comencé colocando su nombre, tanto el principal como el secundario, en un tamaño considerable y en color blanco para resaltar cada detalle sobre ella. Inicié recortando ramas para utilizarlas como si sobresalieran de las letras. Si nos basamos en la realidad, la naturaleza debía rodearla.

To wrap up, I added a shrub, selected the title, and with a clipping mask, defined the shape. Then, I started erasing and creating protrusions from the shrub to play with depth, using shadows generated over the text as well.

Para finalizar, añadí un arbusto, seleccioné el título y, con una máscara de recorte, definí la forma. Luego, comencé a borrar y a crear salientes desde el arbusto para jugar con la profundidad, utilizando sombras generadas también sobre el texto.

Applying an upper texture and playing with brightness corrections, I properly illuminated the upper area, thus concluding the design. I aimed to use the fewest possible elements to give it a unique style. I hope you liked it, and we'll see each other in future posts.

Aplicando una textura superior y ajustando las correcciones de brillo, realcé adecuadamente la zona superior. Así concluí el diseño, utilizando la menor cantidad de elementos posible para darle un estilo único. Espero que haya sido de tu agrado y nos encontraremos en futuros posts.
