GARGOYA LION

Arriving at another participation, I created the design for "Gargoyle Lion". The majesty of a lion represented as a statue and in the form of a gargoyle was captivating both in the card and when applied to this cover. I invite you to go through the design process.

Llegando a otra participación, realicé el diseño de "Gargoyle Lion". La majestuosidad de un león representado como una estatua y a modo de gárgola fue cautivadora tanto en la carta como al aplicarla a esta portada. Los invito a recorrer el proceso de diseño.

DESIGN

Starting to separate objects between a lion statue and cement wings, I began to assign them a place and position the wings in a perspective similar to where the lion was. I tried to find the appropriate lighting through layers and curves, and once achieved, we moved on to the next edit.

Comenzando a separar los objetos entre un león estatua y alas de cemento, empecé a adjudicarles un lugar y colocar las alas en una perspectiva similar a la que se encontraba el león. Traté de encontrar la iluminación adecuada mediante capas y curvas, y una vez logrado, pasamos a la siguiente edición.

To match the color of the illustration, I took the color and, using a solid color layer and applying blending options, I was able to achieve a similarity. Similarly, I applied a yellow glow to the eyes to match them.

Para asimilar el color de la ilustración, tomé el color y, usando una capa de color uniforme y aplicando opciones de fusión, pude lograr una similitud. Así mismo, apliqué un resplandor amarillo en los ojos para igualarlos.

Using the details of the cyan color and also applying blending mode, it maintains the quality and perspective with the lion. Taking the light source into consideration, I created a gradient of the same color combined with a black background for increased visibility.

Utilizando los detalles del color cian y también aplicando modo de fusión, se logra mantener la calidad y perspectiva con el león. Tomando como referencia de dónde provenía la luz, creé un degradado del mismo color combinado con un fondo negro para lograr mayor visibilidad.

I placed the respective title with an elegant font and positioned it to the side, accompanied by motion effects and predefined layers. As an additional touch, I used the reference card and part of its lore, placed on a layer beneath the creature.

To finish, I used textures of dirt and a torn plastic bag to give a realistic touch to the cover. I hope you enjoyed the design process. See you in the next post!

Coloqué el título respectivo con una fuente elegante y lo posicioné a un lado, acompañado de efectos de movimiento y capas predefinidas. Como toque adicional, utilicé la carta de referencia y parte de su historia, colocadas en una capa más baja que la criatura.
