Hello all Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry for the Battle Mage Secrets challenge.
This week's theme is the Back to Basics ruleset, so I want to share a battle with it.

The battle ruleset

• 35 mana cap
• Ruleset - Back to Basics
• Splinter - Fire, Water and Death Splinter can be used in this battle
  

My lineup

With this ruleset, my strategy was to use magic monsters with high health in this battle. So I decided to use Water Splinter, in which I have several high-health magic monsters.

Summoner		Kelya Frendul - to have +1 speed and can make the early attack to enemy team to take the advantages
1st position		Diemonshark - one more time, this guy is suitable as a tanker with high health, good speed and attack
2nd position		Djinn Oshannus - a magic monster with high speed and health
3rd position		Nerissa Tridawn - another magic monster with high health and good magic attack
4th position		Musa Saline - she has good speed but low health, so I put her in this position to help her stay longer on the battlefield and make more attack
5th position		Spirit Hoarder - another low-health magic monster to use up all the mana

• My enemy used Death Splinter in this battle with Thaddius Brood as the summoner. This is a disadvantage for my team because he deducted 1 magic attack from my monsters. He also mainly chose high-health magic monsters and put them at the backline.
• In round 1, my team had higher speed and made the early attack. After round 1, my team killed Wily Coyotian and Corpse Fiend while all of my monsters were still on the battlefield
• In round 2, only my Diemonshark was killed.
• At the beginning of round 3, my team still had 4 monsters while my monster had 3 monsters on the board. All of them are magic monsters and there would be no more surprises like missed attacks, ... happen anymore. It's just a matter of time until the battle's end.
• Finally, my team won the battle in round 7 with 3 monsters remaining on the battlefield.
