#Splinterlands - My Play2Earn journey #3

Hi all,

It's already 5 seasons after my 2nd report.
There are a lot of changes since then, especially after CL cards released and CL packs general sales. So I need to make an update to review the current status and adjust the strategy.

1. DEC earning

I draw a chart to show my DEC earning through the seasons. Chart is always a good tool to see the trend over the time.

What I can see from this chart

  • Ranked battle reward was reduced significantly in the recent seasons. In season 60~62, I was able to get 20~21 DEC per win but it's just ~10 DEC per win now with same league, Silver I, even I have more GF cards.
  • Rental income was reduced dramatically and negative since CL cards released
  • Very little DEC earning from daily rewards and season reward

2. Staking/Airdrop earning

  • SPS earning is very fluctuate because I did not claim SPS frequently
  • I'm not a fan of VOUCHER because the airdrop rate is low and now it's even lower and price is also low
  • Currently staking APR ~ 33%. I may look for another option which have higher APR to stake my SPS

3. Card reward

One of my Christmas wish is to have more luck when opening reward chest.
And it seems my wish is effective.
I start getting more GF cards, even Legendary and Epic GF that I haven't got any one since the day I joined the game.

I'm also very lucky to get airdrop GF Baakjira even I only bought 9 CL packs.

4. Card value

  • 48 GF cards (62 BCX), increase 24 cards compared to last report.
  • 264 Regular cards (485 BCX)
  • 23 Gladius cards (45 BCX)
  • BCX increase 324, from 268 to 592.
  • But card value drop $1005, from $2615 to $1610.

5. My next steps

I have some changes in my strategy

  • With GF cards price is cheap right now, I will buy as much as possible GF cards. So I can get more SPS airdrop point, can rent out to have positive rental incoming.
  • Level up my cards to have higher winning rate
  • Just play to complete the daily quest. It's not worth to spend time to earn battle reward with current low earning rate
  • Buy more CL packs to get higher airdrop chance and open them later 😁
  • Looking for another option to stake my SPS with higher APR.

Very little DEC earning from daily rewards and season reward

Mine become zero in the recent past. The game is started to throw alchemy potion charges and legendary potion charges to me as rewards. I got tired of it. The winning rewards also turned to zero after I fell back to the Bronze III League. I had enough also about struggling hours to receive those potions, so four days ago (on 2022.02.06) I took a break from playing Splinterlands.

I even didn't believe in my eyes when I saw it.
When I got it, just very few GF Baakjira in circulation :)
