Hello all Splinters,
I'm here to share my late Splinterlands diary.
I was pretty busy in the last 2 weeks of 2023 and I didn't share the report of season 37, so I would like to combine the report of 2 seasons.
And this is also the time for me to set the 2024 target

1.SPS earning

This chart captures my SPS earnings for the entire 2023 or 24 consecutive seasons. In 2023, I made some changes in my strategy and it led to good results

• I made a major investment in Nightmare packs (aka Tower Defense), which is highlighted in red in the chart. As you can see in the chart, I started with a low earning from Nightmare packs, and it became a big part which is more than 1/3 of my seasonal earnings.
• With the bots ban in Modern format, there were fewer active accounts in the Modern format and it increased the ranked battle rewards. In another hand, ranked battle rewards in Wild format were squeezed with more bots moved in. Then I switched from Wild format to Modern format. With this decision, I could earn more ranked rewards battle.
• I also joined the Brawl regularly. If I remember correctly, I only missed 1 Brawl in the whole 2023.
  

2. DEC earning

2023 showed a significant reduction in DEC earnings. I started 2023 with more than 2000DEC each season and ended with ~200DEC each season, even though my DEC earnings were negative in a few seasons. However, I thought the DEC earnings were much more stable after season 31 and I should keep maintaining the same approach.

3. Cards

• My deck value showed a roller coaster in 2023. It went up to 951$ then went down to ~400$, then rebounded up and down. Finally, it ended at ~500$.
• When soulbound reward cards are available on the market ( I believe it will be in 2025), my deck value will increase again.
• 2023 is also a year when I heavily upgraded my cards to the cap level of Silver league. The number of cards was reduced from season 30 to season 33 because I upgraded all of the Common Soulbound cards to level 5.
• In season 37&38, I was able to level up 3 below cards
  

4. My plan and target of 2024

• Join the Guild brawl regularly ✅
• About staked SPS, I should keep the same strategy in 2023 and target to reach 25K in-game staking.
• About liquid SPS, I will convert it to HBD and transfer it to HBD saving.
• Keep Nightmare packs to get staked SPS ✅I have 118 packs in the game and I get 9.2SPS each day as the reward. With the SPS price increasing, it becomes a good return. On another hand, Nightmare pack price also reached to 5 HIVE range, which is a 10% increase from the previous report. I will continue to monitor its price and plan to sell some packs at 8HIVE. If the pack price goes lower than 4 HIVE, I will collect more packs and the next target is to have 150 packs staking in the game.
• About Rebellion, I will buy some useful cards when it's possible and try to reach Gold league at the season end to get better rewards.
