They are good advice. I'm still building my deck little by little. A card that I really like is the void dragon, another that I want to buy is the carnage titan and Quix the devius.
They seem very good to me.
Of course, I'm not a player with a lot of practice, to give an opinion with much property.

Same here sir, just play for a half an hour twice a day
With the starting cards penalty, I'm building my deck first. I don't think it's worth playing until you have no more cards of your own. I am not a friend of renting.
