Have someone ever tried to convince you to join a "Free" Giveaway, and you just walked by? I have, and the reason is straightforward. You don't believe you will win. The odds can be like 1 in 20,000 chance or worst!! Let me tell you that you don't want to do that GIVEAWAYS from the team at Splinterlands!!

Tell me about the ODDS.

Most Giveaways or Games of Chance only have one winner. As more people enter, the odds will get reduced and your chance of winning drops!

Let me explain something about the Odds of winning a card from Splinterlands.

The odds are:

• every hour, there are at least 0-3 winners. Not every streamer does the giveaway.
• Assuming 24hrs x 3 winners x 50% there is a giveaway/streamer on = 36 winners per day.
• At least 30 days in MAY. Or 36 x 30 = 1080 winners total.
• An average number of users is 100 viewers per stream, so your ODDS are about a 1% chance to win.
• Best ODDS: 30 users online (or 1 in 30) is about a 3% chance of winning!
  The odds vary with the number of active users. This is a dynamic number, so the odds can change every minute of the day. But over time, It is possible to win once a week. Some people will win over 10 times a month, and others might only win once a month. Yes, indeed, you might NOT win, which is just PART of how GIVEAWAY works.

How to Improve Your ODDS?

Are there ways to improve your odds? Yes!! One of the easiest ways is to watch shows where the STREAMER does TWO giveaways (Monster May-hem and their own personal giveaway). These are the SHOWS you need to watch because there can be 10-15 winners instead of three (3) in one hour.

Axler, the creator of Baron's Toolbox, is one show I love to watch. He entertains like an infomercial, and his lines match that style. He often picks 4 winners of cards, and he does this several times during his shows.

He is not the only one; you must find others with personal giveaways.

Another way the random donation from other users to donate a card to the viewers. I have witnessed Canada804, SteveR82, Mhowii, JabeeSaints, and other users give prizes away during a stream. This is what makes the SPL community different from others. There are so many generous players giving away valuable assets to others.

Winning a GF Cursed Windeku

In the first 3 days, I won a GF Cursed Windeku, a card I did not have. Since I'm a bronze player, every card is essential to my deck. While winning a $50+ (USD) card is excellent, I have been enjoying the free COMMON or "Low" value cards that I win. I can see how it adds value to my deck.

Here you can see a battle where the new GF card works nicely with my existing deck. I am building a GF Bronze deck; this card was a key one I did not have for my DEATH team.
