Starter Card Shenanigans: Regret and a Lesson learned

avatar

In my last post I wrote about increasing prices and how summoners and actual card meta/effectivity is important for long term growth - and i also mentioned starter cards removed after the Chaos Legion update. I notice now that Alric has gone from 200 USD, as i mentioned previously, to 300 USD - a 1.5x increase! I do not expect this to slow. But it teaches us that buying cards available in the starter deck may not be such a bad idea - they are incredibly cheap, as they are not exactly useful, but can skyrocket in price if pulled from starter decks.

The lesson to be learned here is that buying cheap starter deck cards that are actively used in the meta en masse may not be such a bad idea - minimal investment could, if only one skyrockets, yield immense profit.
