A support for just 1 mana, meet Theorosa Nightshade

Splinterlands has a large amount of cards that can be used in battles and some of them you've probably never played or even seen and one of those cards may be Theorosa Nightshade that I'll show in this post.

Who is Theorosa Nightshade?

Theorosa Nightshade is a legendary death deck card and she is the perfect example of a card that is rarely seen in Splinterlands battles, but that doesn't mean she is a bad option. In fact, she's a great choice to have by your side, especially if you use her at your higher levels.

In the image above you have an overview of how the card works in battle, this means that you will know its attack, speed, life and abilities in each level of the card.

To find this information is very simple and you will only need to go to the Splinterlands Marketplace and filter the cards by: Edition - Dice / Rarity - Legendary / Element - Death / Role - Monsters. After that, just in Stats and the same image that I showed will appear.

When you first look at Theorosa Nightshade's Stats, the first thing that comes to your mind is that she is a weak card since her Attack, Speed and Health are low. I agree, it will not be the type of card that will deal a lot of damage to the opponent or that will be useful in defense since its life is low but it has 2 great advantages for you to want to use it in battle.

The first advantage is that it costs only 1 mana and this is a very low value, practically you will not spend almost any mana to have it and this will help many in low mana battles and as having little mana available is very frequent in Splinterlands so having Theorosa Nightshade in your hands will come in handy many times.

The second advantage is the Triage ability which is the main highlight of Theorosa Nightshade.

Enable Level 3 (Triage)

The Triage ability is a type of healing and it will make Theorosa Nightshade restore part of the health of the allied card that is in the back row that suffered the most damage. The value of the cure is 1/3 of the maximum health of the card that is healed or a minimum of 2.

Healing abilities are very useful in battle and make a big difference, if you've been playing splinterlands for a while then you should know what I'm talking about because abilities like Triage, Heal and Tank Heal can completely change the outcome of a battle.

So you just need to think that for only 1 mana you will have a card that has a powerful healing ability, in addition even having a weak attack it still has 1 magic attack so it will also help by causing damage to the opponent's cards.

Finally, she also has another ability besides Triage, which is the Void ability.

Enable Level 4 (Triage)

The Void ability will reduce the magic damage received by Theorosa Nightshade and as she has little life then it can be very useful for her to survive longer in battle, but the main highlight is that Void will be very useful against the Magic ability Reflect since Theoroso Nightshade only has 1 attack so it won't take damage from the Magic Reflect ability.

As you can see it's an amazing card for only 1 mana so you won't regret having it at the time of low mana battles.

Current Price

Now let's talk a little about values and in relation to Theorosa Nighshade its price is not so high for a legendary card from an old edition, it belongs to the Dice edition and currently there are only 997 cards of it in Splinterlands.

To buy her at level 1 you will need to spend $16.97 in DEC or Credits and in my opinion this is not a very high amount since there are legendary cards from more recent editions like Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers that have more cards in circulation than Theorosa Nightshade and a higher price too, so for a useful card like her this value is not high, remembering that this is not an investment tip.

At peakmonsters there is a graphic tool where we can observe the sales movement of the card and now let's take a look at Theorosa Nighshade's monthly sales chart.

29 Theorosa Nighshade cards were sold in the last 4 weeks at an average price of $16.54 and it may seem like a low amount of cards sold but it's not for a card like her, the important thing is that there is demand for her so you won't have too many difficulties to sell if she regrets it later.

That was my post about the Theorosa Nightshade card, if you want you can also look and participate in my daily giveaway that can be found on my blog. Bye!

LORE

The black moon of Sardak is the largest of the Splintral moons, but it is always difficult to spot in the night sky. Still, it is only by Sardak’s dim light that Theorosa Nightshade has been guided and given power for all this time.

A dozen years ago the brilliant Belurocian wizardess was all but destroyed in a great duel of witches, one that threatened the entire city of Beluroc. It was a fight for family honor and survival of the innocent against a foe that would stop at nothing: The witch sisters known as Gorlaak Dua, who did not care how many dead were left in the wake of their hatred and destruction.

Theorosa’s husband was named Beilo. He fought bravely that night, but he was the first to fall, the victim of a ball of black flame from the bony hands of the younger Dua sister. He was melted to a puddle in a moment; he felt no pain. Theorosa was able to channel the rage within her response to her lover’s death into a powerful telekinetic attack that literally ripped the younger of the sisters into two, killing her.

Theorosa continued battling the elder Dua for several minutes, knowing that if she fell, nothing would stop the evil woman from destroying all Beluroc in her fit. Theorosa’s daughter was nowhere to be seen, and all she could hope was that the four-year-old had found her way to some dark corner of safety.

It was a moment of fate that finally spared the city and ended the horrific duel. As the elder sister prepared to loose a spell of ghastly corrosive vaporization, Theorosa performed a spell of her own. This spell of shrinking was only possible beneath the full Sardak moon at its apex in the night. Theorosa took a chance that this was the correct moment, and fate took control.

The shrinking was instant, and more intense than Theorosa had ever imagined from reading about it in her father’s books. She became so small so quickly that for a moment she could no longer see her enemy standing across from her. After that moment, the great elder of Gorlaak Dua was there, filling Theorosa’s entire field of vision and releasing her grim spell. The moon was not yet finished with the Dua. In this moment of fate, the Dua sister performed her spell incorrectly. The corrosive magic instantly began eating away at her own flesh, and before the sound of her shriek could reach the Beluroc Canyon, she was dead.

Theorosa had won the duel, but she appeared to have been vaporized. The wizardess wished she was dead, for she did not have the tools or skills to reverse the shrinking spell. She was smaller than a grain of sand, and trapped that way until she was able to find a way out. She vanished into the cracks of the night, thinking only of the beloved husband she had lost and the innocent daughter whom she knew she must leave behind.

Recently, Theorosa has returned to Beluroc with no memory of the fateful duel from that night. She is not the same as she once was. She wears a glazed look of giddy satisfaction, and she dances through the streets alone, often laughing to herself. Old friends and acquaintances have approached her to no avail. She remembers her name, but neither husband nor daughter left behind. Her powers are still intact, but they are different now. The wisest mages in Beluroc have said that when Theorosa regained her true size, she damaged herself beyond repair. She remembers her magic and remembers the moon, but has forgotten those she once loved. They tell her that her daughter has become a great sorceress herself, that she is in the clutches of the Dark Lord. She dances away, giggling and saying, “How peculiar, I do not have a daughter.”
