Hello everyone, for this week's Share Your Battle I will talk about the Time Mage card which is an excellent choice for battles because of its amazing abilities and also because it is a low mana cost card with magic attack.

Time Mage is a rare card from the chaos legion edition that belongs to the life deck, you can get it by buying it at the Splinterlands market or buying packs and trying your luck. But let's talk about their usefulness in battle which will be the main focus of this post.

But first see all the statistics that the card has in the image below.

As mentioned before Time Mage has a low mana cost (I consider it low) and her attack type is magic and these 2 things already give her a highlight because you are able to use it in practically all battles and because she has magic attack ignores the shield of opposing cards by attacking them directly,

Its total abilities are 2 and maybe you're thinking it's not enough, but you can believe that they are great abilities and that they will be very useful in your battles.

The first ability is Slow and it makes the Time Mage reduce the speed of your opponent's cards by 1. This is important because the lower the speed of the card, the longer it will take to attack, but there is a disadvantage to this ability that would be the rule. Reverse Speed ​​because in that case you would be buffing your opponent.

The second and final ability is Rust and it makes Time Mage reduce opponents' shields by 2. It is also a great ability and I would say the best of Time Mage, because the shield is very powerful in battles when you have a lot of cards melee and ranged, these cards will attack the shield first and then attack the opposing card's health, so the Rust ability is excellent to reduce or even nullify your opponent's shield and give you a great advantage in battle.

I particularly consider Time Mage an excellent card and that its value is very low for what it can do in a battle, but this is just my opinion and as the focus of the challenge is to share a battle I will do that below.

BATTLE

I ran the battle for this challenge in the bronze league because as I mentioned before I'm back to playing Splinterlands now, so it might take a while for me to adapt again and move up the league.

For the battle I used 6 cards that were:

General Sloan as a summoner. He is a great choice for battles when you have ranged cards, because he will increase the attack of those cards by +1

Blinding Reflector defending in first position. It is a card with no abilities at the level I used but its mana cost is low and it has a good amount of shield, so it will be a great defense for battle.

Time Mage in second position. As mentioned before it is a great card and in this battle I used it at level 1 so it only had the Slow ability which will be of great help.

Venari Crystalsmith in third position. It is a ranged card that has the Tank Heal ability, so it will be a great choice to heal my cards that are in the first position.

Herbalist in fourth position. It is a ranged card with no ability and has a low mana cost, so it is a great choice to use with the summoner General Sloan and in battles with low mana available.

Pelacor Arbalest in fifth position. He is a ranged card with the Double Strike ability, so he is able to attack 2x in the round and this will be very useful to defeat my opponent's cards.

Xenith Archer in sixth position. He is a ranged card with no ability just like the Herbalist.

Battle View

The battle has 25 mana available and no rules

The deck used by my opponent was water and the summoner was Kelya Frendul.

Kelya Frendul will increase the speed of my opponent's cards by +1 and grant them +1 shield, so having the Time Mage is a great option because its Slow ability will nullify Kelya Frendul's speed boost and if Time Mage having the Rust ability would also nullify the shield, but for this battle nullifying speed is already a good plus point.

First Round

In the first round my opponent has a ranged card in first position and this is a big mistake because she is not able to attack, so don't make that mistake and I can count myself lucky because it gave me an advantage in the battle.

It didn't take long for this card to be defeated and my opponent's Flying Squid card to take first place. Now he has a good defense but his card speed is low and this is good news for mine because most of them attacked first.

Both lost 1 card this round.

Second Round

In the second round, my opponent's Flying Squid didn't resist for a long time and was defeated after Pelacor Arbalest launched its powerful attacks. Now my opponent's Deeplurker is defending first position.

My opponent lost 1 card this round.

Third Round

In the third round again it didn't take long until my opponent had the first position card defeated because my Pelacor Arbalest is very strong, but this is only possible because Time Mage prevents my opponent's cards from having a chance to attack before and this gives the Pelacor Arbalest a chance to attack first even though it has a low speed.

Venari Crystalsmith is also very helpful in healing my first position card.

My opponent lost 1 card this round.

Fourth Round

In the fourth round there was only one card left for my opponent and it had only 1 life left so it didn't take long until it was defeated and the battle was over.
