Keep your Distance Rule on the Battlefield

Hello everyone, welcome to another post about Splinterlands. This will be a post about battle rules and this week's will be Keep your Distance. In this rule, cards with magic and ranged attacks will be your greatest allies on the battlefield.

What is the Keep your Distance rule?

When the Keep your Distance rule is on the battlefield cards with melee attack will not be allowed, this means that any card with melee attack you own will not be available to be selected for battle, cards with more than 1 type of attack and who has melee attack will also not be allowed in the battle.

As I mentioned before, cards with magic and ranged attack will be your greatest allies because they will be the only ones allowed in battle in this rule.

I particularly like to use cards with magic attack when the Keep your Distance rule is in battle because they will be able to attack in any position, unlike ranged cards that cannot attack in the first position.

To demonstrate how I set up my strategy for the Keep your Distance rule he will explain it through a battle.

BATTLE

Watch the Battle

In this battle there is the Keep your Distance rule that I mentioned before, so I will not be able to select any card with melee attack and there is also the Aim True rule, in this rule all attacks will hit the target.

The battle has 17 mana available and the fire, water, earth and dragon decks.

As the available mana is low so I will have to select my cards carefully and after thinking it over I choose a simple strategy with Alric Stormbringer, Chaos Agent, Djinn Oshannus, Merdaali Guardian and Ice Pixie.

  • Alric Stormbringer is the summoner I selected for battle, his mana cost is 3 and he will increase the magic attack of my cards by +1.

  • Chaos Agent is a card that costs 1 mana, it has no attack and has the Dodge ability at level 4.

  • Djinn Oshannus is a card that costs 8 mana, it has magic attack and the Void ability and Phase ability at level 2.

  • Merdaali Guardian is a card that costs 3 mana, it has no attack and has the Tank Heal ability at level 3.

  • Ice Pixie is a card that costs 2 mana, it has magic attack and the Flying ability at level 1.

In battle I will use Chaos Agent as my first defense, it has no attack but it will be very useful to withstand 1 or 2 attacks and its mana cost is low so it will be a good choice.

After Chaos Agent I will have Djinn Oshannus which will be my main defense since he has a lot of health, in addition I will also have Merdaali Guardian using the Tank Heal ability on him so it will not be easy to defeat him.

Lastly I have Ice Pixie which has low health but her mana cost is low and she will have her attack increased by Alric Stormbringer.

My opponent chose the cards Kelya Frendul, Chaos Agent, Djinn Oshannus and Kulu Swimhunter. This is also a good combination but it is not strong enough to break Djinn Oshannus' defense with Merdaali Guardian so after several attacks and with no hope of defeating me my opponent was defeated and I achieved victory.
