Maximizing ranged damage in the life deck in Bronze league

Hello everyone, welcome to another post about Splinterlands. In this post I will talk about the life deck and how it became one of my main choices after the arrival of the Rebellion edition.

The life deck has a wide variety of combinations and is generally focused on cards that are balanced in both attack and defense, but my game mode is a little more aggressive and with the arrival of the Rebellion edition in Splinterlands I started using this deck more often as I found great combinations for it.

My current focus with the life deck is attack and for that I will use the summoner General Sloan, this summoner will grant +1 ranged attack to all my monsters.

In this battle I tried to maximize the usefulness of summoner General Sloan by using as many ranged cards as possible and this combination of cards that I used in the battle is generally my standard in high mana battles.

For the battle I used the following cards:

  • In the first position I used the Xenith Monk at level 2, he is a rare monster from the neutral deck and costs 4 mana, he has a melee attack and at this level he also has the heal ability that will heal him for 1/3 of his maximum health (minimum healing is 2).

  • In the second position I used Anachron Bolter at level 2, he is a rare monster from the life deck and costs 8 mana, he has a ranged and magical attack, at this level he has the Headwinds ability and it will reduce the ranged attack of the opposing monsters.

  • In the third position I used Venari Crystalsmith at level 2, she is a rare monster from the life deck and costs 4 mana, she has a ranged attack and at this level she has the Tank Heal ability that will heal my monster in the first position for 1/3 of your maximum health (minimum healing is 2).

  • In fourth position I used Nimbledook Ranger at level 3, he is a common monster from the neutral deck and costs 7 mana, he has a ranged attack and at this level he has the Snipe ability that will make him prioritize the opponent's monsters with a ranged attack , magical or that has no attack, and the Double Strike ability that will make it attack twice in the round.

  • In fifth position I used Pelacor Arbalest at level 2, it is a rare monster from the life deck and costs 4 mana, it has a ranged attack and at this level it has the Double Strike ability that will make it attack twice in the round.

  • In sixth position I used Aria Bandit at level 3, he is a common monster from the life deck and costs 4 mana, he has a ranged attack and at this level he has the Snipe ability and the Dodge ability which will increase by 25% his chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks.

I'm using this combination in my high mana battles because it has a devastating attack and also a great defense since the Xenith Monk can heal itself and will also have the help of Venari Crystalsmith and the Anachron Bolter will also be useful in the first position because it has magic attack so it will still be able to attack, it is also very useful reducing the ranged attack of my opponent's monsters.

The Pelacor Arbalest and the Nimbledook Ranger will be my main source of damage as they attack twice a round and finally I have the Aria Bandit with the Dodge ability that will help him a lot to escape the opponent's attacks and protect the back line.

Rebellion has several cards that I haven't tried yet and I'm looking forward to testing them all and discovering incredible new combinations. For now, using the life deck with this devastating attack is being very useful and little by little I will move up the league.

I also had a bit of luck in today's chests and got a rare gold foil.
