It is my pleasure to greet you today and share with you my latest fan art that will be part of this week's Splinterlands Art contest. Hola amigos, hola comunidad de Alien Art y Splinterlands, espero que el día vaya genial y que todos estén teniendo días provechosos y felices sobre todo acercándose estas fechas. Es mi placer saludarlos hoy y compartir con ustedes mi último fan art que formará parte del concurso de Splinterlands Art de esta semana. Pueden ver todo lo referente a esta semana y los resultados de la anterior en este post: Splinterlands Art Contest Week 374. Espero que disfruten mi entrada, este pequeño blog del proceso creativo y el resultado final. Si estamos listos, comenzamos.

The protagonist today is a beautiful fire rarity, a rare Splinterlands monster that stands out from the rest for its unique characteristics and its great defensive abilities, useful in any situation. A direct counter against any team, a creature that is created to break the rules. Its design is very striking and one of those that has the most fans among Splinterlands monsters. It stands out for its horns and its tail, while holding a time clock full of magical energy. It smiles with a mischievous look that shows that combination of strength, charm, and magic. Today I will be drawing it using Ibis Paint, but I will not make a normal fan art, I want to do it in a format and a style that I have not tried yet. The format will be vertical elongated and the style will be imitating the characters of a children’s series that I liked very much when I was little. This series is Kim Possible, which was one of my favorite series. This style is characterized by simple figures, bodies with many curves but at the same time angles, and a very characteristic anatomy.

La protagonista de hoy es una bella rareza de tipo fuego, un monstruo raro de Splinterlands, que destaca sobre los demás por sus características únicas y sus grandes habilidades defensivas, útil en cualquier situación. Un counter directo contra cualquier equipo, una criatura que de por sí está creada para romper las reglas. Su diseño es muy llamativo y de los que más fanáticos tiene entre los monstruos de Splinterlands. Destaca por sus cuernos y su cola, mientras sostiene un reloj de tiempo lleno de energía mágica. Sonríe con una mirada pícara que muestra esa combinación de fuerza, encanto y magia. Hoy la estaré dibujando utilizando Ibis Paint, pero no haré un fan art normal, quiero hacerlo en un formato y un estilo que no he probado aún. El formato será vertical alargado y el estilo será imitando a los personajes de una serie infantil que me gustaba mucho cuando era pequeño. Esta serie es Kim Possible, que era de mis series favoritas. Este estilo se caracteriza por figuras simples, cuerpos con muchas curvas pero a la vez ángulos y una anatomía muy característica.

Splintercards

I quickly made a sketch with the structure and the pose of the body. I wanted it to be showing its characteristic hourglass full of energy in the foreground. I also wanted to give it long straight hair, as well as details like its glove, the emblem on its chest, its tight clothing, and its pointed tail and horns. When I had everything well adjusted and in place I began to create and put the final lines of my drawing.

Realicé rápidamente un boceto, con la estructura y la pose del cuerpo. Quería que estuviera mostrando su característico reloj de arena lleno de energía en un primer plano. También quería hacerle el cabello largo y liso, además de los detalles como su guante, la gema de su pecho, su ropa ajustada y su cola puntiaguda y cuernos. Cuando tuve todo bien ajustado y todo en el lugar comencé a crear y poner las líneas finales de mi dibujo.

What is most difficult for me in this drawing is the elongated format, like a bookmark style, but it was the main idea so I will carry it through to the end. This is how the first versions of my lines turned out.

Lo que más se me dificulta de este dibujo es el formato tan alargado estilo marcador de libro, pero era la idea principal así que la llevaré hasta el final. Así quedaron las primeras versiones de mis líneas.

I placed the colors in my drawing one by one depending on the original colors of the card, the light pink skin, the purple clothing, the glove, and the characteristic white hair. To these solid colors I will add in different layers and with different blending modes effects of lights and shadows, as well as some textures to generate volumes.

Coloqué los colores en mi dibujo uno a uno dependiendo de los colores originales de la carta, la piel rosa claro, la ropa morada, su guante, y su característico cabello blanco. A estos colores sólidos le agregaré en distintas capas y con distintos modos de fusión de capa efectos de luces y sombras, así como algunas texturas para generar volúmenes.

Ready after the layer adjustments and the details, this is how my character turned out. Now comes the part of coloring details such as the jewels, the eyes, the clock, and some imperfections in the drawing. In addition I think I will make the line art in color so that it is not the typical and common black line art.

Listo después de los ajustes de capa y los detalles, así quedó mi personaje. Ahora viene la parte de colorear detalles como las joyas, los ojos, el reloj y alguna que otra imperfección en el dibujo. Además creo que haré el line art de color para que no sea el típico y común line art negro.

And ready, my character’s drawing is now completed. I think it more than meets my expectations, it only remains to make a small background in that style, perhaps something full of lights and shines, and where purple and pink stand out.

Y listo, ya está completado el dibujo de mi personaje. Creo que cumple con creces mis expectativas, solo falta hacerle un pequeño fondo con ese estilo, quizás algo lleno de luces y brillos, y que sobresalga el color morado y el rosa.
