previous day was a combat drawing of a mage I call Rosario and in the Lamiya art I hinted him as being a caster and a member of the party she sometimes teams up with. As a result I had to draw the front view of him so as to get his complete look decided although am not yet sure on the color I will give the robe yet. And in this drawing he is not displaying any magic so the staff and be viewef for it's actual appearance although I may have tweaked it a bit.

Fiction tale

Rosario the second member of team REAL Has been Identified. REAL is and abbreviation of their first names. R for Rosario L for Lamiya and the next two are E and A yet to be seen.
Since the art is based on Rosario's front look the bio will be mostly about mages.
For starters the major difference between runes and mages orbs. The orbs are pure crystals containing magic powers and have unlimited energy source of left naturally. However using the crystals for magic depletes it's natural energy and it later recovers the natural energy automatically like a solar battery. However does that mean everyone can become mages? absolutely not. To use the crystals requires intense visualization and concentration. As a result few people are able to control the output of the magic and some rely on casting spells as the spells help them in the process and from studies they got a book about general visualization spells that work best. For mages that can visual without casting or saying spells, they are better off as it only saves them more time as the major difference although it does make them a bit flexible with their capabilities. Does that mean the strongest magic is to casted without spells? On the contrary no. Some powerful spells can produce powerful magic beyond some mages natural visualization. It's just a measure of in a battle situation how long it takes to cast. Some spells if memorized quick take as short as 3 seconds to cast and as long as 30 seconds.

Due to the visualization and also ability to connect with spiritual energies easily issue, non mages found a way for everyone to be able to use a bit of magic with runes crafting. Technically they break a piece of a crystal to serve as the energy source and burn through and engraved chant and some other process to make it automatically respond with a specific function and that way anyone can use it fov only that function. Mostly warriors use it on their equipment to give it effects and buffs and also some serve as passive abilities. The depletion rate of runes in terms of assault magic is fast and some runes are re-usable and some are one time use bad some have longer recharge time of the only mages that can cast magic without chanting a spell and in silver class, the other two are Gold class mages.
From the image, a clearer view of his Bracelet either runes that generate that energy shield wall can be seen. Getting pure crystals are expensive though affordably. However more pure rare crystals can only be found by exploring dungeons and dangerous locations or a gift from elemental spirits which are rare to encounter. Although his colleague Lamiya doesn't seem to think so.. well mostly they are all on solo missions but when they team they make a quite crazy team with the healer saber caster and berserker.

Step one was the frame which was done with and inking pen and served as the base. Next step is to select it with magic wand tool and then do my drawing on newer layers. Started with the head and brought out the face with mostly the tattoo marker.
Next session was the robe which I used a green color to draw it out with the inking pen and the the tattoo marker for darker shadows on the robe. I made a layer below for the inner shirt and the trouser and used the inking pen and tattoo marker as well. When done with that switched between layers making finishing touches and then draw the staff with same two tools
Shading and lighting where done separately each on another layer.
Lastly was three layers created to do the background, one for the sky and next for the three and final for the grasses.
