My dear, it's not that you guys weren't doing the right thing, it's just that cancer on its own isn't right, it's a bitch that doesn't respond to treatment especially if the staging is advanced.
It's just palliative care till the person gives up

My thought was that she was going to be better, but when the situation became critical, all my hopes were gone.
