Guild Brawl Battle featuring Pelacor Arbalest
Hello everyone, Lester here and it's time again for Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge! How's your recent battles? Good? Bad? Meh? While you're not sure yet on what is your next strategy, check out my entry to SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! PELACOR ARBALEST. For this post, I will share one of my brawl battles using Pelacor Arbalest and how it contributed to winning the battle.
Pelacor Arbalests are armed with powerful crossbows enchanted to fire bolts at extremely long distances. They are trained to wield a crossbow in each hand and can fire both simultaneously with deadly accuracy. Compounded with the Pelacor's excellent eyesight and nimble dexterity, these sharpshooters are extremely useful as snipers on the battlefield.
The Silver Shield Knight backpedaled, parrying blow after blow as the two Venari snarled and swung their swords at him in a savage and ruthless onslaught. He stumbled. Another blow sent him reeling. He fell onto his back.
The Venari leaped upon him, swords raised. He struggled to lift his own sword, but he couldn't fight them both. He was going to die.
The feathered shaft of a bolt slammed into center of each Venaris' chest simultaneously. The pair crumpled in a heap, unseeing eyes staring at the sky.
The Silver Shield Knight squinted into the sun. Above him, a Pelacor Arbalest hovered, his large white wings beating at the air. In each hand, he held an empty crossbow, still aimed at the fallen Venari.
- Pelacor Arbalest Lore
In this battle that I participated, the Arena was hosted by the enemy. Host guild always wins when there's a Draw. Host guild units attack first in Ties. The Fray Limit consists of Bronze League Level caps and only Chaos Legion edition may be used. The rulesets are Aim True and Equalizer. The available elements are Water and Life and the mana cap is 38 The ruleset Equalizer is a perfect opportunity to use Low HP cards with high damage, like Pelacor Arbalest. All the cards that I used here are intended for Modern Format.
- Summoner Card: General Sloan
- General Sloan gives +1 Ranged Attack to allied monsters and this includes Pelacor Arbalest. Among the other Life Summoners, I think this card is the best option for this battle.

- Tank Card: Chaos Knight
- Chaos Knight is currently my main tank that I owned and it has the Shield ability which is perfect for Tanks. And compared to Shield Bearer it has 6 mana only.

- Support Card: Time Mage
- Time Mage has the Slow ability and played a huge role in this battle. The arena is hosted by the enemy and also has Pelacor Arbalest. With this, Speed of the enemy will decrease by 1 and will let my cards attack first.

- Damager: Pelacor Arbalest
- My Pelacor Arbalest is a Gold edition and I believe it has the advantage when it comes to attack sequence. The base attack is 2 but with General Sloan, its attack will be 3. With its Double Strike ability, the total damage that it can deal with the enemy is 6. And because of the Aim True ruleset, the 6 damage will surely hit the enemy. Also, the Equalizer ruleset offsets its low HP because its base HP is 2 only and can be an easy target for opponents with Snipe and Opportunity ability.

- Other Damager/s: Portal Spinner, Prismologist, Ajax Lightfoot
- These cards are all Ranged Attack cards and will benefit from General Sloan's +1 ranged attack. Portal Spinner is great with battling opponents with Taunt because its Scattershot can ignore that ability. Prismologist's Blast ability is a huge addition to the firepower of my line up. A 4 Ranged Attack is no joke for this kind of battle. Lastly, my Gladius Card, Ajax Lightfoot, is positioned in the last spot. Because of its 6 Speed, the plan is to make any opponent with Sneak ability to miss.
My line up attacked first and in the first round, enemy's Blinding Reflector took the final blow from Prismologist and was annihilated first. And enemy's Captain Katie was damaged by Prismologist's Blast ability.
And then, Pelacor Arbalest inflicted 6 direct damage to Captain Katie, making it leaving the battlefield.
In round 2, Pelacor Arbalest dealt another huge damage to the enemy Adelade Brightwing and eliminated it. It also dealt damage to the enemy Prismologist on the same turn.
And lastly, Chaos Knight dealt the final blow to the enemy Prismologist and this made me the Winner of this battle. With the synergy of all the cards in my line up, no allied monster was eliminated. Sweet!
Currently, I am playing in Bronze/Silver League and using Level 2 Summoners. This limits me to a Level 2 Pelacor Arbalest. This card is one of my most used card in playing Ranked Games because of its Double Strike ability. The only downside of this card is its low HP. With that said, I am not using this card when I know that the enemy has a card with Opportunity or Snipe ability because I currently do not have a card with Taunt ability. And that is why I am planning to buy Shieldbearer to aid Pelacor Arbalest in battles. Also, I am planning to move to Silver/Gold League and I am planning to upgrade my Pelacor Arbalest to Level 4 to increase its Speed and HP. Here is the current price in Peakmonsters.

Our guild finished 3rd and my stats is 7W-2L-0D. I gained 21 points and received 1,750 merits.
