Good day, everyone! I am back at making Splinterlands Art again. 😁 I got so busy these past few months because of the wife's baby delivery thru Cesarean delivery, so most of my post are related to battles only. For this post, I am participating in Splinterlands' Tower Defense Spell Contest! If you would also like to participate, here is their post - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 216! Tower Defense Spell Contest!

Here are some information from their post.

Gives the player extra hearts for the battle.

From the spell name itself Heartgiver, my idea is quite simple. A hand that is giving heart(s). 😀
I used Sketchbook mobile app to make this art by outlining the hand first. I used a Technical Pen and set the size to 1.5 only. I then set the Predictive Stroke to 4 to make the line more straight or somehow assist me to create the image on my mind. After creating the outline of the hand I then proceeded in making the outline of the heart. Here, I used Symmetry Y or the vertical symmetry while having the Predictive Stroke still enabled.
After creating the outline of the first heart, I then used Selection tools to copy and paste and make multiple outlines of the heart. I then used Magic Wand in preparation to filling colors to my outline.
I then used Solid fill to add black color to the hand and the hearts.
I now have the base color of my hand and hearts. I then hide the layers where the outlines are and then lock the transparency of the layer where my hand is. I applied brown color using paintbrush. I adjusted the brown color from dark to light and applied it from bottom to top of the hand. Heart normally has red color, but it normally indicates that the player has low HP in terms of gaming language. Most HP bar in games have green color, so I went and decided to use the same idea and used green color since this spell is for restoring HP.
For the background, I used plain black color to highlight my hand and hearts. I then used the Smudge Pen to blend and smudge the color of the hand and the hearts. Actually, I made a little mistake in this part. I just realize that I can apply color and then duplicate the one heart. So I erased other drawings of the heart and focused on one heart only. This will also allow me to place the heart or make more copies of the heart until I feel satisfied. I then used Airbrush to add the green aura background of the hearts.
To add more details, I alternately used Smudge Pen and Airbrush to give more effects to the background of the hearts. Also, I decide to add more little hearts in the process. The more the merrier. 😍
And lastly, I added circles of white color to perceive a ball of aura coming from the hearts. And I think am now satisfied with the result.
Here is the final output. My idea is quite simple, but I guess, simplicity is beauty. I hope I gave justice to the theme of this week's art contest. 😅
