Introduction

Good day, Splinterlands! How's your recent battles? Were you impacted by the sudden change in Resource Credit usage? Let me share with you one of my most recent encounters with Djinn Apprentice while you wait for your Resource Credit and/or ECR to fully recharge. Djiinn Apprentice is one of the cards I rarely use, I'll admit. In Modern League, I summon Fire Elements the most of the time with Tarsa. Additionally, employing Djinn Apprentice with Tarsa is not a priority for me. How did I won using Djinn Apprentice? Let's have a look.

Here is a quick rundown of Djinn Apprentice stats.

DJINN APPRENTICE
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: RARE
Element: FIRE
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: DEATHBLOW AT LEVEL 6.

LORE
Djinn Apprentices prefer to study under more powerful djinn to hone their magic. While not as strong or cunning as others of their kin, they are just as dangerous to untrained warriors.

When the Chaos Legion arrived, it had a diverse effect on the djinn. Not a unified race by any means, some chose to align with the Chaos Legion, some chose to defend against it, and others chose to go their own path and leave it all behind. Djinn Apprentices chose to align themselves with Djinn Inferni, believing in his mission and his vision...

Battle Configuration

The Modern Format rulesets for this fight are Equalizers and Heavy Hitters, and the maximum amount of mana allowed is 48. The accessible elements are Earth, Water, and Fire. Djinn Apprentice's low HP is, in my opinion, one of its drawbacks. It only has 8 HP, even at maximum level. Given its HP, I believe it is preferable to utilize this card under the Equalizer ruleset. Additionally, I considered boosting the damage output of my line up because all monsters will start the encounter with an equal amount of HP. To improve the Ranged Attack and add the Blast ability, I used Yodin Zaku. Despite the fact that Djinn Apprentice won't gain from +1 Ranged Attack, the Blast ability is still a welcome addition because it will disregard the opponent's physical armor.

Rulesets
EQUALIZER
The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Don't use high HP monsters and focus on high damage. Try to use a lot of monsters as well. Having a Tank Heal, Thorns, Triage for defense helps a lot.
Splintercards Equalizer Ruleset
HEAVY HITTERS
All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.
Use a monster with Stun ability. There is a 50% chance that your monster with Stun will be able to stun enemy monsters, but if successful, all your monsters will deal double damage to that stunned opponent.
Splintercards Heavy Hitters Ruleset
Line Up
Summoner: Yodin Zaku
Ability: All Friendly Ranged Attack Monsters have +1 Ranged Attack. All Friendly monsters have +1 Health. All Friendly monsters receive the Blast ability at the start of the battle.

Blast - Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster. Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.

I need as much damage output from my line up as possible to outperform the opponent due to the ruleset Equalizer. Yodin Zaku will use its +1 Ranged Attack and Blast ability to provide the extra damage output. Djinn Apprentice won't benefit from the +1 Ranged Attack, but the Magic + Blast ability will undoubtedly work.
Position 1: Antoid Platoon
Ability at Level 3: Shield - Reduce damage from melee and range attack.

This is a powerful monster that works well with the Equalizer ruleset. It only costs 4 mana and has the shield ability. At a cheap mana cost, it can offer the desired tank characteristics.
Position 2: Lava Launcher
Ability at Level 2: Close Range - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position.

The Ranged Attack of my monster in Position 2 enables Yodin Zaku's ability bonus. In the event that the Antoid Platoon is wiped off early in the battle, this monster will also serve as a tank. With 6 Armor, this card will take some time to destroy.
Position 3: Djinn Apprentice
Ability at Level 2: None

This card's low mana cost and high damage output will make up for its lack of a Level 2 ability. It won't gain from Yodin Zaku's +1 Ranged Attack, but its Magic Attack combined with Yodin Zaku's Blast ability will undoubtedly deal direct damage. It only has 4 HP, but the Equalizer Ruleset will make up for that. Additionally, because to this card's Magic Attack, it is capable of attacking in the first position.
Position 4: Ash Mirage
Ability at Level 1: Headwinds - Reduces the Ranged attack of all enemy Monsters.

Ash Mirage's Headwinds will be there to deliver -1 Ranged Attack in the event that the opponent uses monsters with this attack type. Using Yodin Zaku's buff, I utilized this card to increase damage output as well.
Position 5: Scavo Firebolt
Ability at Level 2: None

Scavo Firebolt also has no ability at Level 2, like Djinn Apprentice. It will also benefit from Yodin Zaku's buff but will not be able to attack in first position. That is why I put this card in Position 5.
Position 6: Countess Sinash
Ability at Level 1: Opportunity - Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. Camouflage - This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position

Countess Sinash greatly provides additional damage output in this line up using Yodin Zaku's buff. Also, it has Camouflage ability in which it will not be easily targeted and will have free hit over the enemy line up.

Let's Battle!

The opponent used Summoner Kelya Frendul which gives +1 Speed and +1 Armor. The opponent also has support monsters like Merdaali Guardian and Scavo Hireling. This puts me to a tight spot. Blast effect will be negated by Kelya Frendul's +1 Armor. On top of that, Diemon Shark will attack first and trample might be triggered.

The Headwinds ability did impact the opponent monsters because none is a ranged attack monster. As expected Diemon Shark attacked first. Some of my monsters miss their attack against Diemon Shark because of its high speed. Good thing is that Djinn Apprentice Magic Attack will not consider the speed of the opponent. Its attack also ignored the armor of Diemon Shark and also damaged Disintegrator.

Diemon Shark was killed in the first round and this time, the attack of Djinn Apprentice ignored Disintegrator's armor and make a direct hit also to Scavo Hireling.

With the death of Diemon Shark, opponent's monsters were easily destroyed.

And in round 4, I won the battle after enemy Deeplurker was defeated.

Did my strategy work?

Due to the Equalizer ruleset, my approach in this situation is to utilize brute force. Because the HP of each monster will be the same, I must first eliminate the enemy monsters by boosting the output damage of my line-up. Djinn Apprentice contributed to this battle's success. Diemon Shark could avoid physical assaults and deal serious damage to my lineup if it weren't for the magic attack from the Djinn Apprentice. Despite Yodin Zaku's +1 Ranged Attack not being utilized, Djinn Apprentice's damage made a significant difference in this battle's outcome.

I'm going to review them, I have to solve the error that the game is presenting me before I continue playing. From the beginning it goes to the end in one step, I don't see the battle. Then I will continue playing.
