Hello, everyone! It's time for another Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge from Splinterlands! It's been raining pretty hard for the past few days, and one thing I enjoy doing indoors is, yes, you got it right—playing Splinterlands. In this post, I will share a battle with the Noxious Fumes ruleset, which applies Poison to all monsters at the start of the game. Let's take a closer look at how I won under this ruleset.

RULESET: Noxious Fumes!

Description:
All units are Poisoned at the start of the game.
Units with Immunity are not poisoned.
This is a one-time application - units that are cleansed, resurrected or rebirthed will not be re-applied with poison.
Enrage is triggered by Poison application.

Battle Configuration

For this battle, here is the ruleset and mana cap to be considered: Here we have only one ruleset, which is "Noxious Fumes: All units are Poisoned at the start of the game." The mana cap is 21, and the active elements are Fire, Water, Earth, and Dragon. The mana cap is just quite right for my strategy in mind. Here is my line-up for this battle.

Summoner: Helios Martriarch - This summoner grants all friendly Monsters of +1 Speed. It also allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle. Since this is a Dragon Summoner, I also used Earth element monsters in this battle.

Position 1: Venari Marksrat - This unit has the ability Martyr which when this unit dies, adjacent Units gets +1 to all stats. Since the it is already poisoned, it is bound to die even if it does not receive damage from the enemy.

Position 2: Quora Towershead - This unit has the Bloodlust ability in which every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats. It also has the ability to restore a third of max health each round. Since Venari Marksrat is bound to die, Quora Towershead will then receive the +1 to all stats from Venari Marksrat. Also, to negate the damage from Poison, it will use its ability to heal itself.

Position 3: Halfling Alchemist - This unit will cut down the target's attack power, hoping that its attack will hit the enemy or else it will just die in round 1 due to poison.

The Strategy: My strategy in this battle is to boost Quora Towershead's stats using Venari Marksrat's Martyr so that Quora Towershead will have a kickstart on this battle. Also, I am hoping that I will be able to use Halfling Alchemist's ability to the opponent. And since Quora Towershead has the Heal ability, it can withstand the effect of poison a little longer compared to other monsters.

Let's Rumble

The enemy used also used Quora Towershead, however, I have the advantage because I mine has higher level. The enemy also used a unit with Martyr and used Failed Summoner as its tank.

In Round 1, my Venari Marksrat luckily not by Quora Towershead, but by Fungus Flinger. And because of that, my Quora Towershead stats went up by 1.

In Round 2, my Halfling Alchemist die because of poison. My Quora Towershead killed enemy Failed Summoner and this increased its stats by 1 again.

In Round 3, enemy Fungus Flinger die and that gives enemy Quora Towershead +1 to all stats.

And since my Quora Towershead has 1 level higher, and has the advantage because it killed Failed Summoner, it managed to defeat the enemy Quora Towershead in one round of 1v1.

And that concludes my battle. I received +924 RP and 0.598 SPS in this battle. This battle happened in Bronze Modern league.
