Final Riftwatchers Airdrop Card Revealed

The fifth and final Riftwatchers airdrop card (not counting the presale promo card, Oshuur Constantia) will be the Life element Legendary card - Inevitable!

Every Riftwatchers pack purchased within the first 1M packs will have a 0.333% chance of receiving an Inevitable card in the airdrop. Additionally, players will be guaranteed to receive at least one Inevitable airdrop card for every 300 packs purchased. Finally, each Inevitable card that is airdropped to players will have a 4% chance of being a gold foil version of the card.

The airdrop card will be available to claim through the game website shortly after 2.5M Riftwatchers Gems packs have been sold. At the time of writing there are just over 10k packs left that will be eligible for the Inevitable airdrop.

Inevitable - Stats

Inevitable is a massive tank for the Life element. He can soak up a lot of hits between his high health and armor, he takes less damage from Melee and Ranged attacks via the Shield ability, and he can Repair Armor as well! As if that wasn't enough, he Strengthens all friendly units, heals back-line units via the Triage ability, and he is Immune to debuffs and negative status effects!

Players are going to have a tough time bringing this guy down on the battlefield, and we look forward to seeing him on the front lines in those high mana cap battles!

Get Your Riftwatchers Gems

As mentioned above, there are just about 10k Riftwatchers Gems packs remaining for sale that will be eligible for the Inevitable airdrop, so be sure to pick up yours before they sell out!

Riftwatchers packs require both DEC and VOUCHER tokens to purchase. They cannot be purchased with CREDITS, and all DEC spent to purchase them goes to the SPS DAO for the benefit of all staked SPS token holders.

You can earn DEC and VOUCHER tokens via various methods within the Splinterlands game and token ecosystem, or you can also click on the "+" next to the DEC balance at the top of the Splinterlands game website for buying options on various third-party markets.

Inevitable - Lore

When Bartle the Omen fell on the Elesian plains of Dumacke, his armies fled from the Chaos Legion in terror. No one had ever managed to touch the great knight in combat, let alone slay him. When he stood before the mighty Silus, though, he was stricken by all manner of afflictions before the Chaos sorcerer dragged the very life from his body.

It was days later when his daughter, Elewys, found the empty shell of his armor. Silus' magic had scarred the grolium plate, buckling it where it had forced its way beneath the formidable defenses, rupturing what had never been breached before in the history of the Knights of Dumacke. She fell to her knees and wept. That was when Bartle’s shade came to her. He spoke of the torments he had braved to return from the Chaos plane, so that he might see his daughter one last time.

Elewys rescued the spirit of her father, drawing it into the amulet of secrets that all the priestesses of her holy order carried. Hurrying to the once great city of Viphis, she found it had been completely destroyed by the Chaos Legion forces. Picking her way through the rubble, she clung tightly onto her amulet, hoping that the workshop of Khulon was still standing.

Khulon was sorting through the debris when she found him. When Elewys told him about the fall of her father, she saw a fire of determination ignite within his eyes. He took the medallion and carried it out of the city and into the foothills. Elewys followed him for hours until they reached a large cave where he revealed an old workshop that had been untouched by the invasion. Khulon set to work immediately on preserving the spirit of Bartle.

Days turned to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years, yet every time Elewys visited him, the determination still burnt brightly in Khulon. He had built a great construct, one so big that Elewys only reached its knees when she stood next to it. Grolium plates had been welded and riveted together, layers upon layers of them making the construct look enormous. It resembled her father’s battle armor. Khulon clambered over the huge build, adjusting bits here and there with his wrench, always working, always busy, until on one cold winter’s morning. Elewys visited as usual, but found Khulon sitting outside the cave, wrapped in furs and smoking his pipe. At first, she thought something was wrong and rushed to meet him, but Khulon only smiled and told her that he was finished. He explained it was her turn now, to place the runes of her holy order into the armor.

It took Elewys sometime to whisper the magic into the creation, having to draw it from within the amulet of secrets, as all of the natural mana within Dumacke had gone after the Chaos Legion left. She remained in the cave for days, only stopping to drink when her throat became so parched, she could barely utter another word. Her prayers manifested themselves in golden runes that were absorbed onto the grolium plate. When she was finished, all that remained was the dull brixnstone crystal that sat within the very heart of the construct. Carefully touching her amulet to it, she felt a buzz of power as her father’s spirit passed into its new vessel, taking with it the final spark of mana from her amulet. The construct came to life with a sudden jerk, joints moving and whirring as the life flowed into them. Its oversized arms moved, the ends bristling with long, vicious spearheads. It was the most intimidating and frightening thing she had ever seen, but it was also her father.

“You are finally alive again, my father.” Elewys wiped a tear from her eye. “Now you may take your revenge upon the Chaos Legion for what they have done to you and our beloved world. Now you can destroy them.” She turned as Khulon entered the old cave.

“Oh, your father will take his revenge all right, of that I have no doubt.” The old man smiled. “In fact, I’d say it’s inevitable.”

Although it doesn't have taunt, it looks like a decent new tank. Not sure how it will compete against Uriel as another 11-mana tank for life, but with the new Rebellion set having a large focus on armor, then the repair and shield abilities should be strong. It also will pair very nicely with Rathe since it seems weak to magic.

I think it would be great with Lily for battles with no or little magic

It looks like a very good tank card, compared to Uriel the Purifier, I think they would have the same level, only this new card has more life.

Besides that Uriel the Purifier has the ability to recharge, that could subtract a little usefulness against this new tank card, good luck to everyone who has it.
