💥 Company Updates 💥

Dev Updates:

  • First time in the history of the game where Yabapmatt was traveling/away and development was still able to continue
  • SPS Validators is still being worked on; Yabapmatt is squashing bugs and making tweaks
    • Validator nodes need to get all transactions off the Hive blockchain
    • Non-Hive accounts can't hold assets in the game anymore (new changes two weeks ago)

Marketing Updates:

  • Partnership With Waka Flocka
    • Going to be a Legendary Summoner
    • Max supply will only be 1000, each one being a max level
      • 960 Regular Foil - 40 Gold Foil
    • Looking to launch near the end of this month
    • Exact amounts and dates of the sale will be released next week
    • First 500 (480 reg, 20 GF) to be sold in the in-game shop
      • Last 500 to be sold on atomichub sometime after the first 500 are sold out
    • Price for the in-game shop will require SPS + Vouchers
    • Price on Atomic Hub will be in WAX

  • Imagine Dragons
    • 30 second Splinterlands promo video plays at each Imagine Dragons tour
      • Gets played right before the band takes the stage
      • One of the four/five sponsors for the shows (ads wise)
    • Nate got to attend the Imagine Dragons concert
    • Will share videos once ready sometime next week (Concept Art In Eye Candy)

Creative Updates:

  • Creative team will release additional lore and media with the Waka Flocka release
    • Will tie in with the Chaos Legion storyline
  • Still in talks with the top 6 CL pre-sale buyers on designing the Legendary summoners

Tournaments:

  • WeirdBeard collected over 600 results on the tournament feedback
    • Results were received from all leagues, different deck sizes and competitiveness
    • Trying to identify the pain points in the current tournament system
  • Tournaments should be coming back next week if all goes well
  • Bulldog Bash Diamond Level tournament

  • More specialty tournaments will be introduced soon as well

CommanderChaos Tournaments:

  • Created a bot to constantly create tournaments
    • 8 man tournaments, one for each league
    • Each tournament will be 24 hour rounds
    • Top 4 places will be payed out

Splinterlands Stream Team:

  • Have 74 interested streamers to stream Splinterlands
  • Goal is to have someone stream almost 24/7 to maximize the exposure

⚡️ AMA Summary ⚡️

Vouchers:

  • All amazing promotions are going to require vouchers
    • Waka Flocka is the first of many to come!
  • The plan is to introduce a voucher store for premium assets
    • Check out the Premium tab on the Waka Flocka Countdown (Eye Candy)

Chaos Legion Monster Airdrops:

  • Next airdrop guaranteed rate will most likely be 525 packs
  • Each subsequent airdrop will most likely increase by 25 packs per airdrop
  • Look out for an official announcement from Yabapmatt soon

Land:

  • All plots, tracts, regions are claims for the actual NFTs
  • During Land Reveal, you can either reveal your plots to be together or to be random
    • If you have 10 plots, you can reveal them all at once to make them be together
    • Or you can claim separately and they most likely won't be together
  • A higher level summoner will most likely allow higher leveled monsters to be used

Quests & Season Reward Chests:

  • Team is planning on revamping the quest and season rewards
    • Look out for more news on this in the future
  • May be a new voucher shop where you can buy assets like new potions

It's great to know this game moving forward and will collaborate with a famous artist to promote this game and bring more utility for SPS and voucher itself. but It's only 1000 Cards for this Summoner, and the problem is according to the richlist (Peakmonsters) there are 200 hundred people who currently hold over 800+ vouchers and growing on a daily basis, and I believe this Promotion Summoner Card will be out of sale within a minutes maybe??

please re-balance the mana for that limited 1k legendary summoner card, a bit higher mana for that card to not evaporate most of the viable low mana setups ... thanks

I disagree thoroughly with the increased numbers of packs going forward for airdrops. If you've purchased 5,500 packs; you've mathematically got enough for a max set in those packs; inclusive of future airdrop cards, were you to open all those packs. The guaranteed rate for the remaining legendaries should remain at 1 per 500 packs. I've done the maths in the past, see here.

That is a lot of updates in one post.
So much to process but it looks like the game is about to move to the next level away from crypto gamers and try to hit mainstream gaming.

Big goals and if it works will be huge.

It will be very important to get tournaments and rewards right for the lower leagues as that is where the majority will be playing.

The bigger spread of rewards the better for the future of the game as it will keep people playing but also power the rental market for bigger accounts to still make a good profit.

If we take a look at the past, reviewing the legendary summoners of other editions, they turn out to be one of the most valuable cards in the game, if we add that the mana of this card is only 3, we could even compare it with Camila, but with an ability to my seem much more interesting, let's hope they don't run out in the first few seconds.

Hmm, I don´t see this waka card beeing good for the game. Not mainly because its overpowered, but because only few can get it. Too much pay to win for my gusto.

Does Waka have a Hive account? I see he has millions of followers on other platforms. If even 1% came to Hive it could make a big difference. We need to get across the fact that fans can earn here too.
