💥 Company Updates 💥

Development Updates:

  • Development teams have been releasing some very smooth updates recently
    • License sale went exactly as planned without any issues
    • Ranked Reward changes rolled out super smoothly as well
  • Ranked Reward affects
    • Primary objective was to limit the amount of reward farming without having to own any in-game assets
      • Starter cards reduce the amount of Focus Points & DEC earned
    • Additional goal was to reward the higher leagues
      • Incentivizes players to create high level decks over spreading cards across multiple accounts
    • Team plans on releasing more, new Daily Focuses in the near-future
  • Modern/Wild updates
    • Modern/Wild will go hand-in-hand with the new Ranked Reward changes
    • Will benefit guilds that run scholarships and allow them to bring new players into the game

Creative Updates:

  • In progress items:
    • Splinterfest designs
    • Polishing up Ranked Rewards items
    • Modern/Wild concept art
    • SPS spinner (not just the monster teeth)
    • Ton of other Quality of Life items

      • Phase 0 wireframes have been created and forwarded to rest of the team

Tournaments/ESports

  • About to pass $6M in tournament prizes
  • Looking to organize a mini townhall next week for those who want to talk about Brawls/Guilds
  • There is a known bug with non-Splinterlands tokens not being distributed properly with tournaments
    • Should be fixed after tomorrow's update

General Team Updates:

  • Splinterlands TV is almost going to cross over the 1000 subscriber threshold

⚡️ Q&A Summary ⚡️

SPS Validator Nodes:

  • Voucher rewards for License holders should begin soon (See Announcements)
    • Team decided these rewards would start sooner than originally planned due to investor uncertainty
    • Overall goal is to incentivize new people and players into the ecosystem

Ranked Rewards:

  • New Ranked Rewards is being worked on to be compatible with the Mobile App as we speak
  • Team is going to analyze the new reward changes over the next few seasons before making changes
    • They are listening to community feedback as well, but aren't going to make any changes until fully analyzed
  • New Daily Focus selections will be introduced soon
  • Bronze rewards are ultimately down after the new changes
    • Diamond & Champion rewards have drastically increased as intended
    • Overall inflation is down while player owned card rewards are up

ECR Potion:

  • Potential new potion that could be introduced in the Voucher store
  • Potion would boost a players ECR
    • Would most likely be different per league

Vouchers:

  • Even with the increase in voucher distribution, price should be set by Node License sales
  • Vouchers will continue to also be necessary for every single promotion going forward as well
    • Splinterfest
    • Rift Watchers
    • New Promo Cards
    • etc...

ECR potion could bring some special dynamics if it burns DEC when purchases. I'm thinking.... what if it could eventually burn more DEC than what's earned thanks to potions. Players will be getting FP as compensation anyway :)

From my experience I have realized i am at an extreme disadvantage because I ended in Diamond but am in Gold. It currently takes me 5-7 wins to get one chest.

I know this isn't what you intended but I am seriously considering surrendering every game the last day of the season and then dropping to bronze since this is how you can maximize your rewards.

I am not alone with this thought either, YouTubes are figuring it out. I suspect next season Bronze will be flooded with Gold and Diamond players.

I still love this game but right now it doesn't make sense to be in the higher leagues, it's really time consuming and still draw potions. after all that time playing, oww oww.

Hope you can find a patch to fix this and get me excited about trying to advance instead of surrendering to earn more rewards.

Erm.......what's the point of surrendering at EOS since they take your highest league as the basis of rewards for the next season. Unless you intend to just play Bronze league the whole season.....

Also, it depends on whether you get more of a kick having lots of chests to open or better rewards in lesser chests. Quantity vs quality.

before these changes, it was just where you ended the season, so it didn't matter if you climbed high and then dropped down, whatever you ended in, that's what counted. I haven't seen anything talking about from the team if they changed this, but I have seen other people all say different things, so I will have to just try.

As far as the rewards, it's not like i'm getting gold foil or legendary cards with Diamond chests, i'm getting the same reward cards you would get in bronze just les of them and also still getting potions. the biggest differance for me is the DEC. but with DEC being .001, I don't know, seems better to have more reward cards then higher DEC

ok I broke it all down with a compairsion

8 loot chest, took me around 4 hours
Pelacor Mercenary, Pelacor Conjurer, Blood Maker.
3 potions and 176 DEC

Now here is an example of bronze at one hour of playing:

20 loot chests
2 Pelacor bandits, 2 Vampire Bat, Peacor Mercerney, Pelacor Deceiver, Gargoya Lion
10 potions and 22 DEC

Card value Diamond Chests =.05 cents
Card value Bronze Chests =.10 cents

Diamond DEC value = .18
Diamond DEC value = .02

Diamond 4 hours
Bronze 1 hour

Diamond 3 cards
Bronze 7 cards

Total Diamond .23 cents for 4 hours
Total for 1 hour of Diamond .05 cents
Total for 1 hour of Bronze .07 cents

Technicly Bronze is the winner here

It wouldn't help you as it is based off the highest league you reached at any point during the previous season. You're better off just stopping at the highest league that you can comfortably win in.

if that is true then I would need to forfeit an entire season or split my cards up on multiple accounts.
