SPS is now on Sushiswap!
Greetings from the Splinterlands! We wanted to share some very exciting news with you today. Splinterlands has partnered with Sushiswap!
This partnership has the potential to be very lucrative for those of you that provide liquidity on, or utilize the Ethereum network's massive DeFi infrastructure!
The Splinterlands team has been working with SushiSwap, one of the leaders in decentralized finance on the Ethereum network, to expand the reach of Splintershards (SPS) to Ethereum! To celebrate and grow this partnership, we will be seeding the initial liquidity pool rewards with an additional 900,000 SPS tokens to be distributed over a 60 day period to Liquidity Providers!
This partnership has the potential to bring massive value to the SPS token and the Splinterlands community as a whole. It also enables Splinterlands to have more of our SPS tokens open for trading on Ethereum and can enable us to expand into more high liquidity pools in the future.
By offering major incentives to pool liquidity into the new SPS:ETH pool, we'll encourage massive and rapid growth of liquidity which will enable bigger buyers to move into the SPS token with lower price impact and tighter slippage tolerances, which is always a concern when doing high-value trades.
The SPS:ETH pool will have a 2x multiplier for liquidity providers to maximize yield farming potential for the first 60 days of operation. The incentives for liquidity providers are going to be massive, but the potential benefits to all SPS token holders and the Splinterlands community as a whole cannot be understated. Are we on solana or some blockchain with DEFI that has lower gas fees?
How about going on L2, polygon? Sushiswap is already there and the fees are much better.
ugh those ETH fees But I totally get it they have a HUGE market cap to tap into. I just can't bring myself to pay those fees

As a regular user of SushiSwap and new in Splinterlands, I got tremendously excited about these news. Unfortunately right now I can only see the Liquidity Pool on Ethereum.
Is there any chance (realistically in terms of implementation, since that escapes me) to have a WETH/SPS Liquidity Pool on SushiSwap in the Polygon Mainnet? Or is that something that is impossible to implement?
