"Sealed Mode arrives, and matchmaking finds you people"

Two days of updates at splinterlanes.com: Draft Mode gets a truer name, matchmaking works a lot harder to put two searching players in the same battle, and the battlefield reads better on every screen.
🎴 Draft Mode is now Sealed Mode
A truer name for what it is: open 3 Packs, cut 10, battle the Deck — that's Sealed, and it now lives under Sealed in the top menu (Virtual Sealed and Real Sealed, same queues and Ratings as before).
A real change came with the rename: Virtual Packs now open in exactly the same shape as Real ones — 1 Legendary, 1 Epic, 3 Rares and 15 Commons, with 3 Neutral monsters guaranteed, and any of those slots can be the Neutral. Virtual keeps its perk of dealing from every playable card in Splinterlands, including Foundations, but Virtual Decks now land at a much more even strength.
And true pick-and-pass Draft — passing packs around a table of AI drafters at your own pace — is coming later. The name is reserved and the seat is waiting.
🤝 Matchmaking that finds you people
Matchmaking now tries much harder to put two players together. Whenever you and another player are both searching, you get each other — and while someone else is active on the site, your search holds out longer to meet them. The Ranked tile and the result screen now say when a player is searching at that very moment — jump in and it's likely them you meet.
📱 A steadier battlefield, easier to read
- Upright phones: every Lane is now a fixed rack of six Monster slots — same as desktop — sized to your screen. Cards keep one tidy size and your Hand always stays visible at the bottom, no matter how crowded the Lanes get.
- Ability icons on the board: Monster cards in the Lanes now show their ability icons — accurate to the card's level — just above their stats, so you can read a Lane's threats at a glance.
- The ticket balance in the top menu grew the same + button the battle screen has: top up from any page.
🔧 Fixes
- Deploying a card right as the clock ran out could play two cards — the random auto-deploy and then your click, one Round later. A late click now gets a quick "the clock beat you to it" notice, and the new Round stays yours to play.
- After a loss against a Talisman prize, the result banner no longer claimed the winner's Talisman was in your inventory — that note now shows only to the winner.
- The Deck Builder's Auto-Build colour buttons are back to full size — a styling clash had squeezed them into tiny squares and clipped their labels.
- Clearer error messages: if the site can't be reached mid-action (for instance during a brief update), you now get a plain "give it a moment and try again" notice instead of technical gibberish.
New here? The full guide lives at How to Play Splinterlanes, and every battle costs a single $0.01 ticket with 98% of revenue flowing back as prizes.
See you in the Lanes.
Its getting better each update.
Loving the gsme but ClayBoyn is a tough player 😅
Looks exciting! I can't wait to see how Sealed Mode changes the matchmaking experience.
