Draft is here: build your Deck one pick at a time

A new way to build a Deck lands at splinterlanes.com β plus fresher
opposition in the Virtual Sealed queue and a rounder battle screen on phones.
π― New game mode: Draft
On its own page, under Battle βΈ Draft. Build your Deck one pick at a time, Arena-style:
- Choose each of your 3 Archons from three cards offered.
- Then fill all 50 Monster slots the same way β every offer is legal under your Archons, and
never a card you've already picked, so your Deck comes out singleton (no duplicates) by
construction. - Any card in the game can turn up. Rarer, pricier Archons appear less often β so reading
your offers, and knowing when to take the powerhouse in front of you, is the skill.
A Draft run costs the same as a Virtual Sealed Bundle, its 10 battle tickets included, and
comes with a Talisman guaranteed Tier 2 or higher dealt for the run β just like a Sealed
Bundle. Your drafted Deck battles in its own Virtual Draft queue with its own Rating, for
real card prizes like every other queue.
Your picks are saved as you go: close the page mid-draft and your Draft is waiting where you
left it, same three cards on offer β no re-rolls.
And Real Draft is coming: the same pick-by-pick building, but the cards you pick are real
ones you keep. If you're wondering about the pick-and-pass table draft we teased in an earlier
post β plans changed: Draft grew up Arena-style instead, one quick choice at a time rather than
passing packs around a table, and it kept everything we wanted from drafting without the wait.
π² Fresher faces in Virtual Sealed
Decks in the Virtual Sealed queue turn over much faster now β expect a fresh line-up almost
every battle, so you'll rarely see the same opposition twice and reading the opposing Lanes
stays part of the game.
π± Phone battle screen polish
- The Hand row now always fits on screen on first load, and Hand cards show their art without
cramped text labels. - Talisman plates are readable at phone size: the Rules Mod name in full on each Lane, and
tier-2/3 mods as star marks you can tap for the full text. - The Mulligan button could sit off-screen on phones, hiding your free opening-hand redraw β
it now shows in both portrait and landscape, floating beside your Hand until your first
Monster is placed. Thanks to the player who reported it!
