Governance is coming to Splinter Royale!

Greetings,

we are moving forward with our plan to start decentralising the governance of Splinter Royale.

The first phase will consist of Hero packs stacking, which in return will earn you Influence, a soulbound governance token. Soulbound means that the token can not be transferred. Detailed information about how the Influence system works will be available soon, but if you think Web3 Gaming is interesting, especially within the Splinterlands ecosystem, now is your chance to get involved!

Influence will start being distributed on the 19th of March, 5 PM UTC. There is no manual claiming needed, this is will be handled automatically at least once per day.

The distribution will not have a cap. Each pack will generate 0.1 Influence a day. If you have 10 packs, you will get 1 Influence per day, if you have 1000 packs, you will get 100 Influence per day. This means: the more assets you own and the longer you own them for, the more influence you will have within Splinter Royale.

We're planning to have a proposal system up shortly after the distribution started. The proposal system will also be used to reach consensus about changes within the game.

More details will be published soon. Some things are still TBD, but we're looking forward to figuring these out with you, optimally with the help of the influence governance system.

It's nice that we got this information ahead and the got time to prepare before distribution.

So for using Influence points to vote on polls, we spend our points or our points just show how much influence we have ?

That will still need to be decided. Maybe even with a poll. In the beginning, however, the influence will not be used when voting.
