Enchanted Pixie - Splinterlands Fan Art

Hello everyone! Here we are again, expressing the most beautiful day in Splinterlands. A day that we can show how creative the @splinterlands players. For this week I've decided to use Enchanted Pixie. I can see how pretty she is if being characterized by our own creativity. This card is a magic from neutral element. It's very significant card especially in lower ranks. Now let's dive to the main process of creating the art.

When a strange glowing meteorite crashed into the Swamps of the Living Moss, the heliostones buried in the mud reacted with a magical burst of creation. In a huge frenzy of light and noise, thousands of tiny flying creatures emerged from the swamps and scattered about the Splinterlands.

The Process

A. The Sketch

The very first step should always be outlining. It is also called a sketch. I started from the body before adding the lines for costumes. I didn't fully enhance the eyes because I wanted to do it in the coloring part. Then I add the outline for wings.

B. Application of color to the eyes, hair and body

• The eyes are colored in orange but with the accurate ranges to give more depth. I'm using adjustments to the opacity as well. The center has been smudged.

• The hair is more on opacity adjustments while choosing the right colors ranging from dark to light pink.

• The skin should looked like natural. So I'm using a brown color with its other ranges. I make sure to give a more dark area in shading.

C. Enhancing the color for costume

I've always picked the bright color for a good result. In the costume I choose earthly colors and of course adding some twists or detailed leafy patterns. I want a fancy art so I should make the best out of it. The leaves are colored from putting a dark color and giving some highlights and design. The rest are just plain and colored without excluding light reflections.

D. Enhancing the character

This enhancement should be carefully made. The wings can give more magical effect so I need to give my best. With my reference I look upon the card and see how the colors are arranged. Then I select the accurate hues and colored each part. The last part of it is using a plain white to give a light reflection but lowering the opacity before applying the stroke.

E. Creating the background

I don't know what color I've picked but I'm liking it so much. It's like a dark and old green. I'm putting it as main base then I combined that with white using an airbrush. I airbrushed some yellow pigments around the canvas and slightly design a pattern using eraser. Then I give some hazy bubbly effects around the canvas.

F. Finalizing the art

The last part is merging all the layers. Then adding some glitters by using airbrush pen. The final step is giving a shining light to the main character. To end the art I just stamped my unique signature on the lower right corner of a 1536W × 2048H canvas.
