Are you getting absolutely wrecked in silver three by people with high level cards? Lets talk about it.
Hello everyone I hope you are having an amazing day/evening depending on what time of day you are checking this out. But let me tell you the first two days of the new season I feel like I was getting the snot kicked out of me in Silver three by people with multiple level 4 and 5 cards gold foil at that. This is a first for me as I usually wait three or four days before I start a season. It is just insanity. But I have a theory to this. If you ever look at the leaderboard of a certain rank you will see most of the time people have more then enough power to move up. And not just from Bronze one to Silver three. I am talking from like Bronze 1 to Silver one if not Gold 3.
My theory is that the leader board rewards towards the top are way to attractive. Bronze is 60k DEC for first. So why wouldn't someone with a ton of cards want to move up till their rating is so high nobody can catch them. Then right before the season ends the rank up to the level they should be battling at and they make all that sweet DEC. So I feel like it incentivizes people to hang in a lower rank knowing they could cache in on 60k DEC and then just buy whatever cards they want. Now maybe I am way off here but that is just my opinion. Please do me a favor and sound off in the comments and let me know. Lets talk about it and get everyone's opinions and input.
So for me I guess I learned that I need to just sit back and chill and wait out the first few days of the season. And then start my season once the big guns have started to rank up where they want their season end rewards to be at. I do get it the amount of DEC given to the top players on the leader board is very enticing. If I was a better player with more cards to draw from depending on the rule set I would do it. It’s something that’s been happening at all the leagues sadly! Gold as well, people are staying for the top spots instead of trying to advance to the different leagues. It’s kind of frustrating if you ask me!
You probably weren’t around then but 6 months ago when there were 10k active players or so, there were mostly bots so battles were a lot easier. Now they are a hell of a lot harder with more people involved! Plus bots scripts have improved as well so I don’t know if that’s changed some battles but I don’t see the bot accounts in my battles as often as I used to.
They should decrease the leaderboard DEC payout and that would stop that. People are sitting in bronze with 100k CP just because the top spot is 60k DEC. Its kinda a chicken shit way to play the game. Like oh your cool bro you have a huge collection but sit in bronze or you could be in gold one but sit in silver. Idk makes me made. Must just be me. I didn't share my post in the splinterlands discord cause I did not feel like getting flamed lol.
I don’t disagree with you, just wait until packs come out.. the leaderboard used to be 30 packs or whatever it was but they switched it to DEC when they ran out. I think it’s obnoxious too for bronze and silver because it’s just Kron/llama combos all day every day. That’s not skill..
