Introduction

Hello Splinters, welcome to this week's challenge battle.

This week we're going to talk about Crystal Jaguar. A life splinter card, from the untamed edition, with a cost of 4 mana, melee damage and up to 2 abilities depending on your level.

Lore

During the historic Obliteration of Light, a family of wild cats was napping deep in one of the caves of the Crystal Forest. They were spared by the wave of destruction, and over time, with no competition for food, the cats grew incredibly large.

Stats

I think from level 4 onwards this card becomes very useful due to the thorns and its high life in relation to the mana cost.

Cards used

As my opponent used Mylor in all of the last 5 battles, I figured he would do the same in this fight. So... high chances of me losing to the melee only modifier.

I used this summoner to try to seek a little protection against Mylor's thorns.

It's a good tank, and comes with 1 armor to withstand the first attack.

Reach could help eliminate the opposing front line faster.

The biggest reason is the attack bonus, after all I could only use melee.

I always try to hit the backline to eliminate the weakest.

---

And since this one has more health than Feral Spirit, I thought it's better to keep it in the back line, and hitting the target with less health is always great.

Questions

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

The strategy was based on the fact that the opponent would use a Mylor to attack me, and that's really what happened, but even so I ended up losing to the monster with magic attack, that sucked the frontline much faster than expected.

Do you use the Crystal Jaguar often? Why or why not?

I usually use it only when I need to play with the life splinter, but in general I don't like the card very much because I don't use it from level 4 onwards.
