Splinterlands - Fighting Fire With Fire: A Lesson For Beginners
If you can't handle the heat, then you'd better get out of the arena when these two summoners meet! This space is getting hot!
Someone is bound to be burned in today's Splinterlands battle between Fire splinter and Fire splinter. In this instance, a couple of beginner's blunders will bite one side in the behind. Let this post serve as a warning to all the newcomers.
The manna cap for this battle was 20. The only rule in effect was Reverse Speed. This means the monsters with the lowest speed move first. Blunder number one was the summoner my opponent chose. Pyre increase the speed of your monsters by one. I will say this...once, I did lose to Pyre with the Reverse Speed rule. But that isn't a strategy that is going to benefit you often.
The second blunder is placing a ranged attacker in the first position(tank). Unless there is a battle rule allowing it, ranged attackers cannot attack while in the first position.
Whether my opponent didn't know any better or if they just threw the match, I still decided to use this battle to highlight the mistakes mentioned above. They were mistakes I made when I was new to the world of Splinterlands.
Because the outcome of this match is obvious, I won't be sharing the actual battle. I will say that making mistakes is a major part of learning. And there is a lot to learn about Splinterlands.
